“We have a problem,” Jon Armstrong stated flatly. Claire-Marie looked surprised. She was mixing a stir-fry for dinner. The townhouse smelled of bread and Chinese spices. Jon was looking at a set of papers on the breakfast bar. “What kind of problem?” asked Claire-Marie. “The biochemical kind,” responded Jon. “Something wrong in your research results?” Claire-Marie asked. “No,” said Jon, “in your work.” “Excuse me?” “In the paper, you published several months ago; I noticed something.
