SAM'S POV

" The night with beautiful was amazing. I know she sees me as a brother but for me that changed a long time ago but nevertheless I got up leaving her on the bed as I got the kitchen for breakfast. I was preparing breakfast when the door rang so I had to see who was visiting this early morning so opened the door reaviling a beautiful brown skin girl at the door.

"Good morning can I help you? I asked

"Excuse you? I furrow my eyebrows in confusion.

"What was that? I asked 

"Where is lydy?

"And why are you looking for her? I asked raising my eyebrows

"Goodness get the f**k out of the way you moron with that she pushed her way inside yelling out beautifuls name which amused me 

"Can you shot it don't wake her up and who the hell are you?

"I should be the one asking who the hell are you? She yelled standing akimbo making me to smile at her childish attitude.

"Am her best friend Sam."

"Am also her best friend she yelled then gasp as she covered her mouth caming close to me.

"You are Sam? She asked a little too excited not knowing I've been dying to see who beautiful picked for a best friend and I must say she didn't do bad at all cuz the girl standing before me is damn beautiful and if beautiful hadn't captured my heart then I would have given us a try with that I smiled.

"Yes that's me." She engulfed me in a tight hug like we've known each other for long and just happen to meet again but nevertheless I hugged her in return.

"It's a pleasure to finally meet you." We released each other with her still smiling.

"It's a pleasure to meet you too Ric is it ok to call you Ric?

"Sure why not. Lydy has said a lot about you and I've been dying to meet you." She beamed

"Like wise me. Please follow me was preparing breakfast before you came ." She followed me to the kitchen where I continued cooking while she sat on the kitchen dinning and started a conversation. We spoke and lauged like we've known each other for ages. We were so into our conversation that we didn't notice anyone come in but then I heard someone screamed."

"Rica.... She screamed as Ric turned making her way to her. They hugged each and only God knows how long they stayed glued to each other before releasing themselves.

"I've missed you damn girl."said Ric

"Missed you too so how's Yaounde and hope it was a success?"

"Are you kidding me? Of course it was and Yaounde is great."

"Great news we will need to celebrate that but guess you met Sam already.She said that gesturing to me who was busy making breakfast.

"Yeah we met already I said smiling."

"Finally met your Sam said Rica." As beautiful raised her eyebrows but Ric just shrugged.

"Ooh so she talks about me often huh? I blurted out smirking.

"Yes Sam she does."

"Wao" is all I could say as i concentrated back on what I was cooking.

"Okay okay if you guys are done can we have breakfast.....and what's for breakfast? Beautiful asked

"Fried eggs with dodo almost through ladies. She helped in setting the plates while Rica helped with placing the food on the table. After we all sat said the grace and began eating.

"So Rica how long have you know beautiful? I asked while eating

"Ummmmm sorry who is beautiful." Rica was lost.

"Lydia of course. Sorry the thing is I got use to calling her beautiful."

"Wow ok. We met in the university our first year when we bumped into each other. We got  to know each other and from there we knew we will be best of friends. She said with so much excitement I could see it in her eyes too.

"Wao that's cool though I felt jealous thinking someone replaced me."

"Sam...." Beautiful called.

"I know beautiful am just joking. So ladies what're we doing after this?

"Let's hit the beach Rica said."

"Are you cool with that beautiful?

"Yes I am." Beautiful responded

"Yuhu Rica shouted as we all laughed at her childishness.

After breakfast we all prepared for the beach and here we are all dressed in our beach wear. Beautiful and Ric wore their bikinis while I wore just my shorts. I opened a picnic carpet on the sand and place out our snacks and juices on it while beautiful went to get a dip leaving Ric and I which wasn't bad as we began chatting before after a while beautiful made her way back to us saying;

"Wow I feel alive."

"Beautiful you know you are always alive around me I said smiling as Rica and her started laughing with me joining."

" Okay guys will be back going to the ladies." She said and disappeared leaving me again with Ric.

" So Ric what do you do?

"Am an architect."

"Wao that's great would never had imagine that you are an architect."

"Yes I get that a lot. So what are planning to do now that you are back??

"Opening a restaurant and bakery and everything is set so since you are an architect why don't you handle my project?

"Wow that will be an honour thanks Sam." She beamed 

"Then if you are free on Monday we can meet up to talk more and sign the contract."

"Are you kidding me? I will definitely be free on Monday.

"That will be great."

"Ummmmm Sam..... I was thinking."

"Thinking about? I asked.

"What if we continue this beach outing at home we could use the pool so we could have some quiet time."

"I thought for a while then smiled at her idea. " It's a good one let's pack up while waiting for beautiful and talking of beautiful why is she taking so long ?"

"Don't worry she will be here okay." I just nodded as we continued packing.

"Guys what's happening? We heard beautiful asking so we turned facing her

"Ummmmm Ric suggested we continue at home in the pool by the way what took you so long? I asked

"Nothing just ran into someone I knew." She replied thou I felt like she was trying to hide something but didn't push it.

"Okay so are you cool with it? Ric asked

"Yea I am I like the idea." She said 

"Okay ladies shall we?

"You guys go ahead I need to talk to someone. She said as Ric and I  stared at her for a while before we nodded and left. On our way I I forget my car keys guess it fell on the sand when we were packing.

"Ric I think my keys fell I will go look for it just wait here for me." She just nodded as I left in search of my keys. I arrived at our spot looking for them and thank God I saw it laying on the sand so I picked it up and was heading towards the car when my eyes caught something. I saw Donald kissing some chick but what shocked me more was when I looked pass him only to see beautiful standing there with a shock face. I wanted to go to her but then she might think I was spying on her so I left to the car where Ric was waiting. 

"Sorry I took long." I apologised.

"It's okay Ric Said." I opened the door for her to get in while I put our things in my car's trunk. We waited for her as we distracted ourselves with our phones when the door suddenly opened reaviling beautiful who slammed the door after she got in startling Ric.

 "Girl what was that for?

"Nothing let's go. She was putting on a blank face as I stare at her through the rare mirror knowing exactly why her mood suddenly changed but didn't say a word as I started the engine."

"We got home and headed straight for the pool as Ric and I dived immediately into it. She sat at the edge with her feet in the water thinking when I made my way to her.

"Are you okay beautiful? I asked pretending not to know what is wrong.

"Am fine she said giving me a tight smile."

" Okay if you wanna talk about I will be here, we will be here okay...?

" Okay she said but I definitely didn't believe her so she held out my hand giving me an assuring squeeze which made me smile and swimmed back to Ric but then my phone starting ringing thus interrupting our fun.  I got off the pool to answer the phone when I saw Ric swimming towards beautiful. After the call I came back interrupting their discussion.

"Ladies got to go  duty calls so will see you guys later."

"For crying out loud is a Saturday Ric said pouting causing us to laugh."

"It's an emergency but I will be back before you know it bye girls with that I left to go get dressed.

" After I got dressed I headed to the pool to tell them am leaving but then stopped when I heard them talking about Donald as I stood there listening. Yes I know it isn't right ears dropping but guys I am desperate. She told Ric everything and it shocked me when she said she had met him at the beach and they even shared a passionate kiss thou it's not the first time such happened and  trust me it hurts to know the one you love is in love with someone else. Unble to bear it I left for my meeting."

"I got to where I had my appointment and thank God it was a success and was about leaving when I rush into someone the almighty beautiful Lilian.

 "Well well what a surprise how are you doing Sam." We gave each a side hug.

"Am good Lily and you?

"Fine as always.she smiled her one in billion dollar smile.

"I can see that and you are looking beautiful as always too."

"Thanks and you cleaned up pretty well too. So what are you doing here ? She asked

"Came for a meeting. Was meeting up a client at the cafe Vienna. What about you?

"Hahaha come on Sam you know me so definitely you should know why am here."

"Ooh yeah how could I forget you will never change." I said with a bit of sadness in my eyes cuz this is the woman I use to have a crush on but she belittled me so much that I wished the earth could open and sallow me.

"Na....I can't. She shrugged. So have you met Lydia?

"Yes I did."

"How is she by the way where does she lives?

"Lily you know I can't tell don't want beautiful getting angry with me."

"Come on Sam do it for me please.....she spoke in a seductive voice guess trying to make me fall but if that's what she is trying to do, then am so sorry cuz I won't be her puppet this time around.

"Lily sorry I can't. There she did something that shocked me. She  kissed me and thou I was shock I still responded. After the heated kiss I pulled away."

"You shouldn't have done that Lily and am still not going to tell you where beautiful lives. I spoke-yelled which startled her I guess she didn't expect to see me react that way."

"Ooh okay.... No need getting so worked up thought you always wanted me so you should be happy am giving you my attention." I laughed thou full of no humor. Am sorry beautiful but your sister is really a b***h.

 "Gone are those days Lily I don't still feel anything for you so if you would excuse me I got to go Chao. With that I left making my way to my car as I got in and drove off."
