In the evening, when Jake and Sera arrived home, Emma had already prepared dinner. Seeing the table full of dishes, Jake felt that Emma had truly changed.
"You spent the whole day cooking?" Jake asked as he sat down.
Emma also took a seat and said, "No, I visited Bella in the morning, then Nathaniel invited me out. I only came home after lunch."
"Nathaniel?" Jake was taken aback and quickly asked, "What did he want with you?"
"He asked if I was willing to be the general manager at his company, offering me double my current salary," Emma said calmly.
