"Know something, do you?" Jake shot Ivy a wary glance. "Why do you suddenly care about me?"
"Care about you?" Ivy let out a scornful laugh. "Get over yourself. Emma’s no ordinary woman; she's been putting on an act just for you."
She jabbed a finger at Jake, taunting, "I know her better than you do. She's not gonna let your cheating slide. Oh no, she's gonna make you pay big time."
Ivy added, "She knows everything about you right now, and she's just playing along. You're just seeing who can out-act the other."
