Her mate

Chapter 6: The truth is out

We need to go out there and find him. The voice in my head says. 

What about the wolfs? What if it's not safe? I ask back. It's weird talking to myself. Or Betty.

We need to find him. Agreeing with her I sneak out of my room and head towards the woods again. It's starting to get dark, and the feeling of something or someone looking at me are crawling up my back. Is there someone there? I walk towards where I last saw John, and see a lot of blood. This is so not good, not good at all. I follow the blood and soon find a unconscious John lying of the ground covered in blood. Fortunantly not his own. I pull out my phone and soon call 911. While waiting for someone to help I sit down beside him. He's so cold, so i pull off my jacket and cover him with it. It bearly covers half of him but it's the best i can do. 10 minutes later I hear many footsteps and soon there are 5 people walking through the bushes towards us. 

They won't get near him. Betty growls in my head and I feel a growl come out of my mouth. Looking a bit taken aback the medics lift their hands and looks straight at me. 

    "It's ok, Julia. We just need to get him to the hospital. You can come with him, we promise, but you have to let us look at him." Nodding slowly they come a bit closer. Seeing that i haven't growled anymore at them they come close and starts looking over the injuries. "It's not anything really bad, we think he got exhausted and was unable to get anywhere before he passed out. We would like to take him back to the hospital and keep an close eye on him through the night. Would you like to come with us?" I only nod unable to say anything in the fear of only growling at them. They put him on a stretcher carrying him out of the woods. 

10 minutes later we are in the hospital. I sit beside him holding his hand when two of the most beautiful people walk through the doos. The looks at me oddly before saying hallo to me. 

    "Hello. It's a pleasure to meet you! I'm Aron and this is my wife Cathrine. We are John's parents." No wonder he looks perfect if these are his parents. "May i ask who you are?" Aron asks. 

    "Oh, I'm sorry. I'm Julia, I'm just a friend of John. I was the one that found him out in the woods, I just couldn't leave him to the hospital staff. Sorry for this, you probably want some alone time with John. I will leave you be." I quickly get up and is about to leave when Aron grabs my arm. 

    "Not at all! Stay! We understand why you wanted to stay with him, after all you are..." Before he could finish we hear a grunt coming from John. All three of us rush over to his bed. 

    "Hey, what's going on?" John says and starts looking around. "Where am I? Julia?" He looks straight at me and i grab his hand. 

    "I'm right here, you are in the  hospital. After you asked me to run home I just could not shake the feeling that something had happened to you. So I went out in to the woods again and found you unconscious on the ground. I called the hospital and that's why you are here. Your parents just came." I try explaining but he still looks a bit confused.

    "You came with me to the hospital?" I can see the softness in his eyes and how much it means to him. "You came out looking for me?" he continues. I only nod my head yes. A bright smile cover his entire face. "Thank you." He looks over at his parents. "I'm sorry mom and dad, there was a big black wolf that attacked us. Would you mind giving me and Julia some time alone to talk?"

    "Not at all son! We will be right outside in the waiting area. I will look in to the black wolf." With that they left us alone. I look down at John and he grabs my hand. 

    "Thank you for coming back for me. It really means a lot. Can i just ask you why you felt the need to go back to the woods?"

    "I... I just felt that something was wrong, I don't know why but I was like this voice in my head said that i needed to go back and look for you." He nods at my answer looking deep in thoughts. 

    "Would you mind coming a bit closer?" I go a little bit closer. "Closer, please" I lean even closer, now i can feel his breath on my face. "Closer." We are so close that our lips are almost touching. At that exact moment he leans in and capture my mouth. It's the most amazing feeling I have ever had. I feel tingles everywhere, and i never want this feeling to end. Suddenly an intense pain spreads from my core and out throughout my entire body. It was so bad i could not stand up anymore and fell to my knees beside his bed. 

    "Julia! Mom! Dad! Come in here something is wrong with Julia" Both his parents comes rushing in through the door. "What is going on?" They look at each other and start talking but i can't hear anything because on the unbearable pain in my whole body. Soon after everything goes black and i can't feel the pain anymore. 

I'm lying on something soft, I think this might be the softest underlay I've ever been lying on. Then I feel a soft brush against my skin and I hear someone purring inside my head. 

This is nice. And that smell is intoxicating!  At least i have Betty to count on. 

At least I can open my heavy eyelids. Sitting beside me with his beautiful blue eyes are John. 

    "John, shouldn't you be in bed? Don't tell me I saved you just for you to throw it away now. Get back in bed!" He only laughts at me. 

    "If only I had a bed" wait, what? "There is a very cute looking girl occupying it at the moment." Looking around I can see that this is a guys room. There are dark blue walls, not that much furniture just a bed, a nightstand, a desk and three doors leading to what i assume in a closet, a bathroom and the hallway. 

    "This is your room?" He nods, but before he can utter a word my mom burst through the door. 

    "Honey, there you are! I'm so sorry i didn't tell you! I thought I had it handled, but obviously I didn't." This is making no sense, what is going on?

    "Mom, what are you talking about?"

    "You're a werewolf, and so is John and your dad." WHAT?!? "He was the alpha of this pack 18 years ago, but than the 'animal' attack happened where he was killed. Your father was a really rare type of werewolf, a white one. When i found out that you where the same as he I contacted my sisters that a witches and got them to cast a spell on you that was suppose to supress your wolf. But finding your mate made her come out." what the heck?

       "Mom? Are you crazy? Werewolves are not a thing! They are not real, and neither are witches." She looks apoligetic to me 

    "I'm sorry i didn't tell you about it earlier. But i thought that your wolf never would surface. But it is true, you are half wolf, half witch." My mom is officially crazy. "John, would you mind showing her?"

I look at John but he only nods to my mom, before starting to undress. 

    "What the hell John?!? What are you doing? Put your clothes back on!" But he only continues undressing til he stands before me with only his boxers on. To say his body is amazing would be an understatment. With a full six-pack and a defined v-line, and his legs, so muscular and nice. Before my ogling get out of hand his bones start to bend. Only a few seconds later there is a large brown wolf standing in his place. I look at him, so my moms rambling is true. Werewolves are real. 

    "I'm a werewolf?" My mom smile apologetic, and nods her head. 

    "Yes, let me start from the beginning. You know the story of how your father and I met. I was traveling east to visit my family and learn more about our family lineage. I was suppose to learn about the type of witchcraft my father side of the family did. You see, my mother if from a line of great withes that can control the elements, or elemental witches, and my father was from a line that practice healing magic. When i was done with my learning period with my ant i drove through here and saw your father. I knew instantly that I was his mate and he was mine. But the thing is that it is unheard of for a witch and a werewolf to be blessed by the moon goddess. Soon after our meet I was called home because my mother got very ill and she needed me to heal her. When I got there it was already too late. My clan wanted me to take over as leader after my mother but I soon realized that I was pregnant with you and had to get back to your father.

    "When I came back and told him i was pregnant he was over the moon. He was so happy when you were born, such a cute little being. But then the pack was attacked by rouges and we had to flee before they learned the truth about you. That you are most likely one of the most powerful beings alive at the moment. We went back to my clan, but i didn't want to become leader after my mother so i became the clan healer. The clan helped me cast a spell on you to supress your wolf so everyone else would think you were only a normal human." My  mom ends the tale and looks at me

    "But why is Betty out then?" I ask 

    "Betty? Your wolf?" I nod affirmatively. "I would think she surfaced the moment you met your mate. She wouldn't stay away when she knew he was so close."

    "So John is my mate then? What does that even mean?"

    "A mate, is your soul mate blessed to you by the moon goddess. It is the other part of your soul. It is believed that a long time ago a wolf's soul was cut in to two and the only way for the wolf to feel whole is to find the other part of its soul."

    "I'm sorry, this is just a bit too much. Would you mind changing back John? I would really like to take a nap and sleep on this if it is fine with you."

    "Of corse! Take all the time you need." At that my mom left my room and I was left with a half naked John. 

    "Would you mind just holding me while i sleep?" At that he smiles and climb behind me and wraps his arms around me waist.
