Chapter 04

“ And one…two…”

Lauren stopped at her tracks and tried to sigh heavily because she is so tired at their routine. She is auditioning at the cheerleader team of her new school. She feel her cheeks blushed when a group of boys clapped at her and whistled complimenting her outfit. Because it is a cheerleading, they require every contestants to wear shorts and crop-tops the reason why her belly button is visible for anyone right now. She can’t deny the fact that she is one of the sexiest applicants since her figure is too mature for her age. Her crop-top is a bit short for her emphasizing her breast. Every time that she will do a stunt her breast will also bounce causing the crowd to whistle especially the boys.

“ Okay! You’re qualified! See me next week at the office for the other information about the team!”

She smiled at the senior cheerleader before going happily to her locker room but before she got there, a lot of boys are waiting for her and trying to ask her for a date. She only blushed at their offers and shook her head before covering her navel and running inside the locker room.

“ The boys must love you!”

She looked at the girl in front of her who is also wearing the same uniform as her. She smiled at her and offered her hand.

“ Megan.. Megan Pascual,” she introduced herself that made Lauren smiled. It is her first friend in this school so she is so happy.

“You’re Lauren, right? Sorry. I just heard the boys outside.” She commented before looking at her. She felt concious because of how she stared and she must notice it too because she laughed at her reaction.

“ You have a nice body but you’re too innocent,” she said before turning her back and getting her clothes. She feel puzzled what she meant with that so she keeps staring at her while she is doing something in her locker.

“ Do you want to go with lunch with me?” she asked spontaneously talking at her casually. She nods in excitement and jump at her place.

“ Let’s go Ms. Popular,” Megan joked before holding her hand and walking with her to the cafeteria. They talked about the cheerleading competition and how they both got in until Lauren realize that she needs to inform her boyfriend about this. She can still feel her heart beating fast because she cannot believe that Ethan is now her boyfriend.

“Are you seeing someone?” Megan asked while looking at her texting. She just nods her head and composed a message for Ethan.

“Too bad.” She said again before signaling something to the other table. I looked at that direction and saw the group of boys from earlier. They waved at me so I waved back weirdly.

“ They really like you,” Meghan commented like I  was a lost cause. I just shrugged her comment and proceeded in eating my lunch.

“ Hi Lauren!”

“ Lauren, can I get your number?”

I just laughed at the group of random boys who passed at our bench while we are busy practicing for cheerleading. I got used to them because that is always the scenario. Everyone wants to get my number or score a date with me but too bad because I have a boyfriend of my own and speaking of, he is now calling me.

“ Hey!” I excitingly said when I answered the call. I can hear that he is probably inside of their classroom because of the background noise.

“ How are you?” he asked in such a deep voice which makes me giggle. His voice is too attractive even in phone calls.

“ I’m so fine, you babe?” I asked while looking at my co-cheerleaders smiling and teasing me.

“ I love you, “ he randomly said in the other line which makes my breathe stop for a moment. I swear, I will not get used to him saying how much he loves me. I bite my lips to hide my excitement before whispering to him.

“ I love you too,” I said before ending the call because our coach is asking us to go back in our practice. I felt my cheeks burned and my heart race fast because of how much elated I am with that conversation. Megan can see that so she teased me causing the others to tease me too.

“ stop it!” I said to her shy about the teasing but she didn’t stop until our coach asked her to stop teasing me because I kept in doing mistakes in my routine.

Second semester of my first year here in high school I can feel that I am really adapting into the changes. I made friend with the cheerleading team plus i am popular with boys but I just wished that Ethan will be here so we can be together.

I looked at the teacher in front of our class when she smiles to someone outside and I cannot help to stand in shocked when I saw Ethan wearing our uniform.

“ Class, this is your new classmate. Introduce yourself.”  The teacher encourage him and i saw how he smirks when he saw me shocked at his presence.

“ Hi! I’m Ethan Velasquez, nice to meet you.” He said to everyone but I know that he is arrogantly smirking at me. I watched how he walk towards me and occupy the vacant seat beside my table. my mouth is hanging open because I didn’t know why he is here.

“ Did you transfer?!” I whispered so no one will hear about our conversation.

“ Yup, miss me princess?” he teasingly said while encircling his fingers to my legs. I looked at him in disbelief because he didn’t tell me earlier.

“ But how?!” I said before looking around worried that they will notice his hands in my legs. I blushed because of the sensation that I am feeling and he must see that too because he stopped what he’s doing.

“ Scholarship.”

He arrogantly said before getting his books and pencils and concentrating in listening. I looked at him in awed because I didn’t know that there is a scholarship in this school and more importantly because he must be really genius to get that scholarship.

He looks at me and I giggles because right now, I know that we will be close to each other.
