Chapter 6 - Incoming Trouble

At Byakko
-Emperor Palace-
"Nǐ yǒu méiyǒu fāxiàn wǒ de nǚ'ér, kāng lā dé?" (Did you find my daughter, Conrad?")
"Méiyǒu nǐ de wēiyán." (Not yet, your Majesty.) The man he called Conrad answer while vowing his head to the emperor.
"Tā yǐjīng liǎng niánle! Bùguò, nǐ hé nǐ de chéngyuán bìng méiyǒu zhǎodào tā? !" (It's been two years! Still, you and your people can't find her?!) The emperor said, who was getting impatient. He was sitting straight while his brow furrowed as he watched Conrad.
"Wǒmen zhèngzài zuò wǒmen de zuì hǎo de wēiyán. Bùyào dānxīn, wǒmen jiāng zuìzhōng zhǎodàole tā, shǐ tā zài nǐ miànqián jǐnkuài" (We are doing our best, your majesty. Don't worry, we will eventually find her and bring her in front of you as soon as possible.) Conrad said with determination.
"Quèdìng! Xiànzài, nǐ kěyǐ líkāile! Bùyào huílái, zhídào nǐ zhǎodào tā."(Be sure about that!! Now you may leave! Don't come back until you find her.) The emperor said seriously.
"Shì nǐ de wēiyán! Wǒ xiànzài yào zǒuliǎo. Qǐng yuánliàng wǒ." (Yes, your Majesty! I'm going now. Please excuse me.) Conrad said as he walked out of the room leaving the emperor.
"Ó! Eurielle wǒ qīn'ài de! Wèishéme nǐ yào líkāi! " (Oh! Eurielle my dear! Why did you have to leave?) the emperor said sadly.

- On the other side of the Palace –
"Wǒ de fùqīn." (I'm here father). The man said wearing a black shirt that hug his and well-built body and a rugged pant. His well-defined jaw was clenching while standing at the back of an older man that wore traditional kimono who was busy wiping his sword.
"Zài zhèlǐ, nǐ de érzi." (You're here son) The older man reply not looking back to her son. "Nǐ zhǎodào tāle ma?" (Did you find her?) he continued.
"Dōu néng gēn de shàng de fùqīn. Duìbùqǐ!" (No father. I'm sorry!) the younger man whom he called son said while vowing his head.
"Shì shénme ne!" (What??!)" He spatted.
"Wǒ jǐn wǒ suǒ néng de fāxiàn, tā mā de nǚ jìsī!" (I'm doing my best to find that f*cking Priestess!!)
"Nǐ bìxū zhǎodào tā dì yī cì zài rénqián zhǎodào tā! Wǒ dài tā lái, hūxī huò bù! Rúguǒ nǐ háishì xǐhuan her. That huì hěn hǎo. De huángdì wan'ts nǐ shì tā de zhàngfū. Ránhòu nǐ huì chéngwéi xià yīgè huángdì. Rúguǒ méiyǒu, nǐ kěyǐ shāle tā, rúguǒ nǐ xǐhuan." (You must find her first before the others! Bring her to me, breathing or not! If you still like her. That will be good. The emperor wants you to be her husband. And you're going to be the next emperor then. If not, you can kill her if you like)
"Hǎo fùqīn! Wǒ huì quèbǎo tā huì zài wǒ shǒuzhōng jiéshù." (Ok, father. I'll make sure to get her.)
"Wǒ zhīdào nǐ kěyǐ zuò dào zhè yīdiǎn. Bùyào ràng wǒ shīwàngle zhège shíhou."(I know you can do it. Don't disappoint me this time)
"Dāngránle! Wǒ bù huì de." (Of course! I will not)
"Hǎo ba! Nǐ xiànzài kěyǐ zǒuliǎo." (Ok! You can go now!)
"Wǒ huì qù.” (I'll be going then)
"Nǐ zhè biǎo zi! Ràng nǐ bù gǎn ràng wǒ xúnzhǎo nǐ zhǎng, rúguǒ nǐ xiǎng huó xiàqù!" (You b***h! Don't you dare let me search you that long if you want to live!) The young man murmured as he left.

Kaede's POV
-Karluk University-
Ugh! I hate Gin. I thought he would treat me to a snack. Tsk. I'm currently lining up here in the canteen to buy my snack because Gin was MIA.
"One slice of apple cake and apple juice, please.” I smile as I ordered and then give my money to pay it. I grabbed my food and turned around, holding my tray to find a vacant seat. I scanned the area and saw one on the very back so I walked right away, going there.
"Kyaahh!" I heard almost all of the girl squealed.
My forehead creased because of confusion. What's happening to them? I just shrugged it and decided to ignore their squealing and murmuring.
I sat right away on the vacant spot that I saw earlier and started to eat my food.
"Kyaaah!! It's Gin! He's coming here inside the canteen!" I heard the girl with long hair squealed loudly. She was in the door peeking a look from outside.
My brow furrowed as I clearly heard everything. She was talking about Gin.
What is it if he's coming here? It was break time. Seriously? What’s wrong with all of this girls? Ugh! I'll just eat in peace and never mind them.
"Eeeeee! Gin is here!! " she squealed loudly again. Ugh! I wanted to cover my ears. They were so rowdy.
"Gosh! He's so hot!" The girl said on the other table beside me.
He was so popular now! I almost forgot that he was the one and only Gin, The great Casanova of Karluk University.
I just continued eating my food. Other students were doing the same. Eating. But almost all the girls inside were still squealing. It was like there was a roach flying and descended on them. Because I always squealed like that, if there was a roach flying.
"Kae, baby!!"
"Ahh! Son of a roach!" I jumped in surprise when Gin called me, making his way towards my seat.
What the, Gin?! Kane, baby? You're digging my grave right now!
Goodness! His girls will surely skin me alive!
"Hey! Are you okay?" he asked, sounding worried as he got in front of me. "You're eating here alone. Aren't you going to ask me to join you?" he continued as he sat on the seat in front me.
"Can you stop calling me baby? I'm not your baby. And do you want your girls to skinned me alive right now?" I said to him with a low serious voice.
"Let them be. Just don't mind them. Give me your juice, I'm really thirsty," he said and then grabbed my juice and drunk it using the same straw that I was using.
My eyes instantly go wide because of his bold move.

I noticed an eerie feeling because the whole canteen was so quiet that you could hear the cricket.
I tried to look at the area and regret doing so because all of them were looking at our table. If looks could kill, I'm already dead by now. The girls were looking at me like they wanted to slap me, kick me and skinned me alive. All action word that was used for torture, they had it on their mind.
I couldn’t blame them. Who would believe that a girl like me who looked like Betty La Fia because of my thick brows, glasses and dress up like an old maid was sitting and talking to a popular playboy, handsome, hot and very rich guy in the university? That an ugly girl like me was with Gin Meyerr who was sipping my drink with the same straw that I used? I bet they were already planning to skin me alive outside.
"Ugh! Go away Gin! Don't you come near me if you don't want me to smack your smiling face,” I said a little bit anxious. "Look at them. They look like they want to bury me alive!" I continued panicking.
"Why am I going to leave? I don't want to be with those ugly humans,” he said with a scowl. "Let's go." He stood up, tugged me with him and dragged me as he walked out of the canteen.
I just go with him while my head was down. I didn’t want to dare myself to look at those scrutinizing eyes again. They were giving me goosebumps.
I felt relief when we successfully got out. I instantly slapped his arm the moment we got out of the canteen.
"You're crazy! You eat all of my food and you even drag me out! You're so bad, ” I said, pouting. "Pay me for eating my food, ” I continued sulking.
"Okay! No worries, Kae, baby!" he said, laughing.
Ugh! Why did he always call me baby? I’m not a baby! And another one. I’m really sure that his girls will lynch me tomorrow. I already imagine what would happen to me tomorrow, and I couldn’t help but shudder at the thought.
"Hey! Gin!"
My eyes instantly snapped in front. A handsome guy approached us calling Gin. He was not alone. He was with two other handsome guys. My eyes were slitting while looking into his face, into their faces. They were kind of familiar. I think I already saw them somewhere but I couldn’t remember where and when.
They looked at Gin and then looked at me. Now they were staring at me. I felt a bit shy so I looked away.
“I knew it! You are that girl who’s riding with Duze on his motorbike!” The other guy said while looking at me.
I looked at him and tried to process what he said. I looked at them with wide eyes as I remember everything now. They were with that heartless guy who hold-me-up! They were studying in this university! What a small world!
Gin also looked at them with confused look.
“What are you talking about, Seth?” Gin asked with a serious tone.
“Yeah! She’s really that girl, Seth, ” the other guy on the right side of that guy Seth seconded.
“Seriously? Jedde?” Gin said to the guy on the right side of Seth.
“Is it true? Did you ride with Duze on his motorbike?” he said, looking at me with a shocked expression.
“Wait! Duze? As in Leader? So that guy who’s with me last night is your leader?” I asked confused looking at them. “And you? Don’t tell me you’re one of them?” I asked Gin, turning my head again to him.
“Why are you changing the topic, Kaede? And yes, I’m one of them, ” Ginsaid, confirming everything.
Seriously? He was really one of them? I couldn’t believe it.
"Hey! You two! Fix your own problem. We got to go. I’m famish. Seth let’s go, ” The other one beside Seth said as he walked inside the canteen.
“Yeah! Me too Zero. I’m so Hamish, ” Seth said to the guy who enter the canteen first. Ahh. So that was Zero.
"Gin and nerd, we’ll go ahead. Fix your LQ, ” Jedde said and then followed the two guys, which were Seth and Zero, inside the canteen.
My brows furrowed because of their remark. What the? LQ? We were not even lovers!
