Pretty was just an understatement for someone like Hannah Williams. She was the epitome of beauty. Head cheerleader, class topper and the chairman of drama committee. She was perfect. Jeffrey Anderson couldn't believe his luck. He was dating the most popular girl in high school. No one knew and no one would have guessed it though. Yes, It was him who had taken the liberty to ask her out. Yes, It was him who had helped her with her assignments. Yes, It was him who had paid all the bills each and every time. And now he knew the worth of waiting. They had kissed. Once... On their third date. It was just for a moment when their lips had brushed against each other. Outside her house, in that chilly weather when he had wrapped his coat around her body even though it was him who had to walk back home which was miles away from her place. He hadn't mind. The feel of her lips had sidelined everything else. Her deep blue eyes were a shade of ocean as he had looked into them. He saw something deep that time which made his heart soar. It felt real. Now he couldn't wait for the summer holidays to end. She would be back from her Hawaiian trip soon. Her i********: was full with her feeds of sunbathing in her two piece bikini on that bloody crowded beach. Jeffery wanted nothing but to rip all those horny idiots who leered at his girlfriend. Their comments complimenting her body made his blood boil. He wanted to claim it to the world that Hannah was his but It was Hannah who had wanted to keep their relationship low. He sighed, putting down his phone. Only if he had saved enough money then he would have been with her. Surfing, sunbathing, f*****g. Oh Jesus. "Were you watching p**n?" Jayden smirked eyeing his brother's hard-on. Shit! "f**k off Jayden." Jeffrey shouted, throwing a pillow at his face. Jayden laughed, dodging the pillow. "Baby brother. You need to grow up and find a girlfriend. Believe me you don't look that bad. Afterall you're my brother. Anyway there's a baseball match and we're a short of member." "Why? What happened?" "Frank fell off his motor cycle, got hospitalized with a broken arm and we don't have a substitute this summer. It's the seasons last game and we have to win it." Jayden banged his hand on the table. Jeffrey scoffed. He knew his brother. He didn't like a no for an answer. "Fine but you owe me." "Deal. Now get ready. We have a game to finish and please do something about that, Jeff." He pointed to his boxers which still had his hard member poking out. Jeffrey's face burned with embarrassment. Jayden laughed. "It's okay. I won't tell anyone." He immediately stormed in the bathroom. He had to focus on the game. He had plenty of time until Hannah returned. The game was a close one but obviously their team had won. Everybody were joyous. Brian, his brother's college roommate was the star of the match as he was the one who had hit the home run even though Jeffrey had scored maximum runs compared to his teammates Jeffrey didn't mind that either. He was never into limelight. He preferred to be who he was. A shadow! To his brother and now to his brother's best friend. "You did well." Brian forwarded his hand, acknowledging his contribution. "Thanks mate." Jeffrey smiled as he liked to be appreciated once in a while. "Your brother is a natural, Anderson." Brian patted his arm, "Why doesn't he play with us often?" "Our team is full. Our substitute Roy will be back from his trip and Frank's arm would recover soon hopefully. Anyway Jeff doesn't play much. He's more into organizing and stuff." Jayden muttered. "Oh really!" Brian was amused. "What's so funny in that?" Jeffrey asked, surprising himself with the tone which he never used. "No offense. It's just a coincidence. Actually my cousin is getting married this Sunday and he wants me to be his best man and also the in-charge of his bachelor party. Organizing is not my forte. It was literally freaking me out. Oh Wait... Why don't you help me with this one, mate? I'll pay you." He pulled out two bottles of beers from the ice cooler and offered one to him. Jeffrey eyed the chilled bottle he was holding. Hannah will be back. He'll need money. It'll be much better then going to Jayden for cash. "Okay." "Cool. Thanks buddy." He clinked his bottles. Jeffrey glared at his brother who had his hands raised up in defence, "It's not my fault dude. You accepted it.." "Yes it." He gritted his teeth before gobbling down the beer. It was Friday when he received a text from Hannah. He couldn't help but feel giddy about it. He was definitely whipped. His fingers tapped the screen. It was a picture of herself in that skimpy black dress. He cursed loudly, she was teasing him. He waited as she typed some message. "What do you think?" "My thoughts are not decent enough. Let's just say. That dress wouldn't have been on you if I were with you right now." He typed and sent. He saw her typing something but then it stopped and she went offline. Suddenly he saw another message pop up It was from Hailey. Hannah's best friend. It was a photo of her, all dressed up in an low-cut outfit. "Hey. Are you free tonight?" Is she for real! What is she doing? Why can't she see that he's not interested? He groaned on his pillow. It had to be. Maybe it was his fault. Hiding your relationship status has its drawbacks. While he and Hannah were goofing around last time. It certainly looked like that he was the one who was actually after Hailey who always tagged along with Hannah. This was hell. How was he supposed to correct her without breaking her heart? Well for now he didn't have the time for that. He had enough of things on his plate with the job he was assigned to. Tomorrow was day of the bachelor party of Brian's cousin. Brian had already sent a text. He was paying him loads of money. Why not hire a professional? Jeffrey had just participated in two cultural events at high school. One of them was at the drama club to be with his girlfriend. This didn't mean he was good at organising. Jayden and his damn mouth! Anyway the money was already paid. It would help him save some and he didn't want to ask from his useless brother anyway. Jeffrey had already prepped up on the venue, food, drinks, guest list and a stripper. It was Brian's cousin Martin who had requested for a stripper. Damn, Jeffrey had spent his whole afternoon in chasing the company that arranged strippers. It was the hardest part of the whole party planning thing. Nonetheless he had to be there tonight at club just to see that everything was in its place and no trouble was coming. "Have fun." Jayden muttered as he scribbled something on his notepad. "I'm working and it's no fun." "I thought this was something you were passionate about." "Do you know me at all?" Jeffrey asked, exasperated. "Maybe I don't but whose fault is that?" Jayden replied. "Stop distracting me, I'm doing the last minute detailing." "See. This is what I was talking about bro. You like something but you'd never talk about it." "Jay, Buzz off." "I'm buzzing off to by bee anyway." "Aren't you coming to the bachelor party? I thought you were there on the guest list considering this is your best friend's party." "Correction. Best friend's cousin and I'm on the guest list but I'd prefer to visit my girl rather waste my time. Unlike you I'm not a bachelor anymore. I'm taken." He grinned. "Say hello to Abby." Jeffrey said ignoring the last part and Jayden smiled a real one, "Will do and don't fret. Everything will be great, Jeff. I know." He ruffled his hair. "Don't touch my hair." He shouted, earning a chuckle from his older brother. "Alright. See ya." He closed the door as the words came out. Jeffrey glanced at his phone. No new messages from Hannah. He clicked his tongue. He didn't want to sound clingy but sometimes they spent too much time apart. After his message last night, she didn't bother to text back a reply. It felt like he was single again. This was frustrating. Was she busy? Why was he being paranoid? He picked his jacket and clicked a snapshot sending it to Hannah. Her message popped up almost immediately. "Someone looks dashing. Just don't have too much fun without me." There was a wink and a heart emoticon next to the message. He sighed. "Don't worry. With you on my mind, I don't think I'm going to have fun at all." "Aww but please have a good time. I miss you." "You have no idea, I miss you like hell. I wish we were together." "SOON!" Now everything felt good again. Except for the party he had to attend. He exhaled loudly as he adjusted his blazer, "Let's get back to work."
