The air thickened, buzzing with anticipation as the roof above them began to groan and c***k. With a mechanical roar, the reinforced ceiling split apart, revealing the vast sky beyond. In that moment, the dragon shifted. Its wings unfurled in one massive motion, a sound like thunder rolling through the chamber.
Then, without warning, the restraints that held it in place were released. The dragon’s body, a shimmering galaxy of translucent scales, rippled with power as it stretched and flexed.
And then it took flight.
A storm of force erupted as it launched itself into the air, black atomic breath spewing from its mouth like a burst of dark energy, twisting and burning everything in its path. The air grew thick with the scent of sulfur, the ground shaking as the beast ascended. The heat from its breath was enough to scorch the very air itself, like the atmosphere was on the verge of collapsing.
Lilith stood frozen for a heartbeat, eyes wide in awe. The dragon—this magnificent beast—was alive. Alive in a way that felt almost cosmic. She couldn’t tear her gaze away, her breath catching in her chest. She was staring at something unreal, something far beyond human understanding. It was pure, untamed power.
Before she could blink, her own body was rising off the ground, her power surging. Red smoke, tinted with a strange, ethereal hue, began to swirl around her, as though the very air was bowing to her will. She didn’t even need to think to make it happen. Her telekinesis was a force she had only just begun to understand, and now it was alive inside her.
The dragon’s golden eyes locked onto hers, burning with fire. Its wings beat the air, causing the space around them to ripple with energy. And then, it lunged at her.
She felt the wind whip past her, the speed of the dragon nearly overwhelming, its jaws snapping shut inches from her. She dodged, moving with a grace she hadn't known she possessed, her body twisting in the air with unnatural speed.
A dance of death.
The dragon growled, its massive form whirling around in the air like a predator in pursuit. Each lunge was a strike of pure chaos, and Lilith’s heart pounded, adrenaline spiking with each brush of its razor-sharp claws.
Back and forth, they moved through the air—two forces of nature colliding. The dragon’s power was overwhelming, but Lilith was learning. Adapting. She could feel her control tightening, her powers beginning to surge like a river breaking free of its banks.
And then, as if it had reached its breaking point, the dragon roared—loud, deafening, a sound that sent chills through her very bones. Its body coiled, wings flaring wide, and in one fluid motion, it released a blast of atomic breath. A swirling storm of black, molten energy aimed straight at her.
Time seemed to freeze.
Without a second thought, Lilith thrust her hands forward. The force of the dragon’s atomic breath collided with her telekinetic power, stopping the blast mid-air as it writhed and struggled against her control. It twisted, crackling with dangerous energy, but she held it—held it in place, suspended in time.
For a moment, everything was silent. The world paused, as if the universe itself was watching.
And then, she pushed.
The atomic blast shattered into nothingness, disintegrating into the ether before it could even touch her. Her chest heaved with the effort, but her eyes never left the dragon.
The dragon stared back at her, awe filling its gaze as it hovered in the air, breathing heavily.
Daemon was no longer standing still. He was pacing, a feral grin spreading across his face. His eyes were wide, gleaming with something dangerous—something insane.
He clapped his hands together, the sound reverberating through the chamber. His voice, a mixture of ecstasy and madness, broke the silence.
“Well, damn, Lilith. Look at you. Who knew the goddess of chaos would rise so beautifully?” His words were dripping with lust, every syllable twisted with raw hunger. His eyes locked on hers, dark and hungry. “You’re more than I ever imagined. A goddess—a true force... Do you realize what you just did? You stopped a goddamn dragon in its tracks… And I’ve never seen anything so perfect.”
He took a step toward her, his voice dropping low, seductive but sharp like a blade. “You’re dangerous, Lilith. And that? That’s why I’m obsessed with you.”
Lilith stood there, still hovering in the air, surrounded by the red smoke swirling around her, staring at the dragon—now looking at her in awe as if she were its equal, its master.
Daemon’s voice was like poison, sweet and deadly. “You’re mine, vixen. I’ve made sure of it.”
The dragon, its golden eyes never leaving her, seemed to bow its head in respect. A low rumble of approval echoed through the chamber, and Lilith knew—this was it. She had tamed the untamable.
Daemon, on the other hand, was a storm of excitement. His laughter was unsettling, psychotic in its thrill. “God, you're my kind of perfect. The perfect kind of crazy.”
"What's his name?" she asks.
"Xandrox. The beautiful beast- Your beautiful beast is called Xandrox." She smiles.
Thats when her eyes bulge out. No way.
Her shaking index finger points at the heart of the dragon. "Who-Whats that?" He chuckles taking her hand into his and kissing the back of it.
"That boy you see inside the heart of the dragon is a human. Xandrox is a lab project of a lizard and bat fusion. And that was a zygote of a human fused inside the hybrid. He grew and grew but never woke up. He's curled up in that fetal position ever since he was born." Daemon smirks as he holds her waist setting his face in her neck.
She continued to listen in awe as she eyed the boy inside the dragon's heart throught the beasts transparent body.
" His heart is the heart of the dragon. The emotions that Xandrox feels, the anger, the rage, the hate he had for years for us all is what that boy felt for us all along." Daemon purred in delight as he kissed her neck.
She mindlessly walked towards Xandrox leaving daemon behind who left a chilling laughter throwing his head back.
"Xandrox." She whispered keeping her palm on the beast. He purred in response. "Hey, buddy." The dragon wrapped the left wing around her body. She gasped realising his body was slippery and actually crystal transparent.
Daemon smirked. "We found my favourite gun's holster. Now did we?"
