Matthew’s POV-
I was surprised that my parents were being so understanding during dinner, especially my father. But it did make me happy to see how they were trying to get along with Eilith, despite knowing she did tell them a couple of lies and that she was Dylan’s ex-girlfriend. After we had finished dinner and dessert, Eilith and I cleared the plates away and loaded the dishwasher. My mother insisted on coming over and making tea for all of us to enjoy. I told her not to make the tea because Eilith or I could do it, but she insisted that she did it. The one thing I know about my mother is when you tell her not to worry about doing something, she will try to do it herself. She never wants to inconvenience anyone. Eilith did help my mother without hesitation, much like she had always do
