The beeping of hospital machines was the first thing to hit my senses, along with the smell of a hospital, the perfume of the woman I love. My eyes fluttered open. My whole body felt stiff and tense, but I was still in pain in part of my body from the injuries that I had gotten from that fight. How long have I been out for? I looked down to see my beautiful girlfriend, her head resting on a pillow, as she clung on to my hand. She had huge bags under her eyes, it looked like she had not slept probably in weeks.
