Cameron’s POV-
I found it really hard to leave Matthew in the waiting room on his own. He has always been so stoic, rarely showing his emotions, but when he does show them, he has been affected very deeply by what is happening around him. He had barely stopped crying, since Eilith went down. He had also just given blood, and for a man who hates needles, he did really well.
Mr Banks had to pat me on the back to get me to follow him, as I found myself lagging behind him. He smiled at me, “You two really are like brothers. He will be fine for a few minutes. The sooner we get these calls made the quicker we can get back to him.”
