The alarm clock blared loudly in my ears waking me up from my sleep, making me realise that I had woken up again and I have a life to live, I have school to attend. Mom has definitely left for work and in some minutes, my nanny will come pick me up for school. I walked into the bathroom, avoided looking into the mirror and cleaned up and got ready for school. I lack appetite to eat breakfast and just leave with my nanny to school. Classes starts by 8:10 am and I get to school by 7am to avoid the noise of my classmates because I love the quiet morning. It helps me put myself together and bring out the false me and then by 7:30am, my classmates barge in. Before then I am mentally and physically prepared to pretend to be what I am not. At 7:45 am, Trisa Flynn walks in - my bestie - and I do what I do every single day. Pretend.
"Good morning" I hugged Trisa and smiled
"What is good about the morning? You didn't come to my house on Friday night."
I didn't understand what she was saying, but I recalled her telling me she was having a sleep over in her house. I told I would try because a room full of teenagers is something I can't handle yet. For Trisa I don't really have to prepare myself much because I'm used to pretending with her and I know her a bit. She loves to talk while all I have to do is put in a few responses when I need to. But it's not the same when it comes to others because I have to definitely be funny and mean which I am not but since Trisa moves that caliber of creatures I have to also move with them.
"I'm so sorry. I totally forgot about it."
"You always forget. I wonder how we even ended up being friends." Trisa said just as my maths teacher walked in
If Trisa doesn't remember how we met, I do perfectly remember how we did.
