Emily

Mom had always wanted me to go to college. It was her dream. That was why she kept multiple jobs to help me save up money to take me to college.

As a very little girl, i was in love with video games and wanted to become a video game designer. And my parents supported that dream with their whole heart, encouraged and believed in me.

But after things became really rough growing up, i eventually gave up on that dream. But mom didn't.

"One day you're going to go to college, get that degree and be the best video game designer there is to be mily" she would always say.

Looking at my life right now, i didn't think so anymore. I was merely living just to get by.

I know better days are coming but I'm not so sure if I'll get to see them.

I was broken, lonely, sad, confused but I knew better than to break down and cry.

Mom always said there was nothing more pointless than crying at a situation in life and i couldn't agree more.

I spent all our last savings moving here.

All these raced through my mind while i practically hurried to work.

I managed to sneak into the changing room through the back door and started changing.

"You're late again"

I could feel the breath on my neck.

I whipped around immediately.

"Geez! Anna! Are you always this creepy?

"Not exactly creepy, you were clearly on edge already" she stated in a matter of fact tone.

"Whatever." I muttered and walked out.

All through the day, i just couldn't get my mind off college and how to fund it.

"Okay! Spit it. What's troubling pretty barbie?" Rose said in my face leaning on the counter, opposite me.

"Barbie?" I asked raising a brow.

"Yesss! She squealed excitedly.

I shook my head.

"Okay! Let's do a checklist"

I groaned. Rose and checklists! I had more important things to do.

"Blonde hair? Check! Blue eyes? Check! Great hips and legs? Check! Perfect skin type? Check!" Rose rambled on and on...

"Wait! Perfect skin type? What does that even mean?" I said laughing out loud.

I caught Natalie staring at me from the side of my eye. She had a surreal look in her eyes like she wasn't really staring at me but staring through me.

I stopped laughing. She looked away.

"Good news young ladies!!!" Anna screamed drawing our attention.

I groaned. Rose squealed. Which sounded disgusting by the way.

"what now?" I asked prompting anna when she didn't continue.

She looked at me with those round black eyes that spoke volumes.

"We four hotties just got a pass from miss Yonova to close earlier than usual so we can have a girls night out." Anna had a look dripping with abundant pride.

Miss Yonova was the owner of the Cafe. A German mother of two beautiful kids. And recently divorced.

She was the nicest boss and our main source of gossip.

"I'm soo in" Rose chipped in.

Anna looked over at Natalie with pleading eyes, who had the most expressionless look.

"You guys! Come on" Rose urged.

"I'm in" I said and immediately regretted it.

Anna looked at Natalie again, defiantly this time.

Natalie shrugged.

"Yesss!" Anna and Rose yelled simultaneously.

"Get to work girls!" Miss Yonova shouted from across the room.

We later decided to meet at Rose's after work for the outing.

"7pm sharp!" Anna added with her high pitched voice as we all left the Cafe.

"I think we all heard you the first time Anna." Natalie replied walking away.

Anna stuck out her tongue and walked away.

I half ran to meet up with Natalie.

"So how excited are you about the outing?" I asked, to ease the awkward atmosphere.

"Zero. You?"

"Well... , Two?"

Natalie turned to look at me. I couldn't help but laugh.

"I just want to get my mind off some things." I added in my defense.

We remained silent through the rest of the walk.

"Okayyy! Girls remember, have fun, go crazy, do whatever!!" Anna began in front of the door of the club.

"Oh please Anna just go in" i whined already having double thoughts about this.

Anna was looking soo hot in her silky black long dress with the split cut so high almost to her pelvic girdle and high silver heels compensating her short height. Her frontal fringes drew a lot of attention to her big, round, black eyes that drew you into them like magnet.

She's definitely the prettiest asian i know.

Rose was in very tight leather pants showcasing her skinny thighs and legs and a black leather jacket with black ankle boots that really complimented her red hair and freckled face.

Natalie had an absolutely hot killer look in her very fitting jeans that brought out her perfectly round booty and thick thighs and just a bra with black ankle boots. She just sprayed her black curls making them glisten in the lights.

I was in a very short sleeveless floral dress with white boots that came up to my knees. I let my blonde hair to fall, no ponytail which was obviously Anna's idea btw. No make up just very bright lipgloss.

Natalie pushed past Anna and walked in. Leaving us to scurry behind her.

"You guys watch out for suspicious movements. Let's catch that serial killer" Rose yelled inside trying to speak above the music.

"What?" I yelled back.

Anna laughed.

These girls are crazy.

After a while of drinking and dancing, Anna and Rose came to announce they were going saying they each had their partners for the night.

"Well no one informed me we came for hook ups." I said looking straight at Anna.

"You'll get used to it." She whispered as she gave me a sloppy hug. And they left.

After a few more hours of drinking alone at our table. I checked my phone, it was 12:01 am. I was feeling really dizzy.

After frantically searching for Natalie and I didn't see her, I decided to be on my way alone.

The light cut through the darkness, stinging my eyes.

I looked back at the vehicle approaching, shielding my eyes with my hands.

"Hello!" The man in the vehicle greeted.

"I saw you leave at the party. Mind if I drop you off?"

I was too dizzy to even think. I just opened the door and got in.

"Drive" i said.

He chuckled.

"You're new here."

"Is that a question?" I looked over at him. Getting a good look at him.

He was definitely in his mid thirties, brown hair roughed up in an attractive manner. Hazel eyes. From the fancy watch and the fancy car, he was financial comfortable.

All these were red flags for me. pretty ironic right?

"Not exactly" he said with a smile.

"So what was your previous place like?"

Just then my phone chimed. I got a new message from Paul.

Excellent timing!

"Trouble?" He looked at me.

"No.. of course not. You know what? Just drop me off here, thank you so much. I'm grateful".

He stopped the car.

"I'm Alex." He extended his hands.

"Emily." I took his hands and stepped out.

"Oh and Emily? Give paul a chance." He said and drove away.

I stopped in my tracks.

Wtf just happened here???

Things are gonna get completely shady, scary, thrilling, and confusing from the next chapter.
