“Are you sure you’re okay with this, Marco?”
Marco agreed to come home with me to meet my family. It was selfish of me to ask when I wouldn’t be joining him on his trip home, but Marco loved the idea. I felt guilty, though, because I know we need time apart. We can’t be together twenty-four-seven; it’s not healthy for any relationship. After almost three months of living and working together, time alone will do us good. Marco and I agreed that we’d visit my family, and then he’d go home to see his family while I spent time with mine.
