Tessa’s POV The drive home was quiet. I hadn’t said much since we stepped into the car and neither had she, but I could tell she was thinking the same thing. “Are you thinking what I’m thinking, Tessa?” Lily asked after a while, breaking the silence. “Do you really think Berry’s behind the rumors?” I glanced out the window, my thoughts scattered. Part of me wanted to believe it, something about Berry’s behavior that morning had left me unsettled. “I don’t know,” I said quietly. “But I need to know.
