The end of classes couldn’t come soon enough. My head was pounding from the noise, the looks, the whispers and the weight of the day sat heavy on my chest. I barely waited for the lecturer to dismiss us before stuffing my books into my bag, ready to bolt.
Lily had left earlier complaining about a running stomach. She had promise to come back but I haven’t see her green light so I just take that as an answer that she’s not coming back.
The moment I stepped out I froze.
Leaning against his car, his arms crossed, and face set like stone, stood Tyler. His usual cocky smirk wasn’t, just a cold, unreadable stare aimed directly at me.
For a moment, I thought about walking right past him, pretending not to see, but I wasn’t that lucky. His eyes stayed locked on mine
