“That’s scary.” I couldn’t help but comment after ending the call with Zeke. She has a reason to be afraid. Caleb was left there to stake out and I usually had more confidence in him, but there's a vampire involved and I'm just scared that they would encounter each other.
It made me worry. Should I call him to ask if he’s alright?
“Why do we get a lot of complicated cases lately?” I mumbled and picked up my phone to message him in the company phone. I just hope Zeke’s hunch was wrong and he’s just bored right now from waiting for anyone to come out in that house.
