Anne lowered her head, "You don't have to filter your words mister. I've watched the news and know about it. " She sounded betrayed. Who wouldn't be? Her mother looked like a sweet woman, and for a child to know that one of her parents was cheating on the other... It's just an awful feeling.
"Anne..." Her mother looked at her child with so much pain in her eyes. It suddenly got me thinking. Did my real mother look at me like that before she left me in the orphanage?
