Alexander's POV
She liked me? Was that really possible?
I clicked my tongue, “Damn this stomach.” I took out my frustration to my own stomach and got out of the headquarters to eat. I need to eat or I’ll be as murderous as Bernadette.
“Why did it have to be like this?” I asked myself while quietly waiting for my food. I had already thought of all possible scenarios but that didn’t include Bernadette liking me!
I groaned and that accidentally startled the waitress that brought me my brunch.
“Is there anything that bothers you, sir?” I turned to her. Judging from her bothered expression, she is just new to the job.
I chuckled awkwardly, “Nothing. You’re doing a great job, actually. Thank you.” I have no intention of dragging anyone into my problems.
