* She knew something was wrong the moment her consciousness returned. Her first thought was that she hadn't fallen asleep on the bed. Faintly, she remembered the feel of the hard stone beneath her as she had drifted off to sleep. But now, she seemed to be lying on a mattress.  Groggily, Noor's eyes fluttered open. The room was still dark, and a quick glance at the window showed her the sky was still dark. How long had she been out? And who had brought her down to the bedroom?  The answer formed immediately in her head. Suddenly, Noor bolted upright, staring around the room until her eyes settled on her target.  Him.  Fareed was leaning against the wall, shrouded in the darkness which the oil lamp beside her couldn't reach. Even from a distance, Noor could tell that something was wrong
