* The evening prayer had been concluded and nearly everyone had broken their fast by the time Fareed arrived at Kabeer's house. Knowing the nature of the city he was living in, Fareed decided to arrive in disguise. Nothing got past anyone in the city, and as he had known several years ago, even the walls had ears.
