I wake to disappointment once more as the opposite side of the bed is empty and cold. The sun is shining bright today and I stretch slowly getting out of bed. A knock on the door has me jumping slightly before I head over to it and open it slowly. A guard stands with a maid next to him.
"Good morning lady Liliana. The king has requested you stay in his room today." The maid comes past me and sets the food on the table. Before quickly ducking out of the room. I see a second guard on the other side of the door and nod with furrowed brows as I close the door. He has another thing coming if he thinks I am staying in here all day.
