I open my eyes to find myself sitting on my rock. It is dark out and the sky is nearly covered in clouds only allowing the moon to peak through. I don't have the journal with me and I am still in the same clothes as before.

I slowly move to get off the rock but I finally register my senses and feel the prickling of eyes on me.

I snap my head up and see a giant black furred beast standing on its back legs. I still and my breathing drops to a shallow labored breath. I feel my body tremble slightly but I make no attempt to run. It will be futile and I won't even make it one step.

My hands are on the rock and my butt is resting against it as I lean on it for support my legs shaking underneath me. I can feel my powers below the surface but their is no alarm in it like before with the wolf.

I watch the beast stand tall and stalk toward me. My eyes go wide and my breath quickens my heart racing from the fear and adrenaline.

The moon is now completely covered and my eyes take a second to adjust but when they do I still only see black. I look up and white razor sharp teeth come into view. It's head drops down to my cheek pushing it to the side and back slightly.

I hold my breath out of fear with my tender neck being exposed to the unknown creature. Knowing not of its intentions I squeeze my eyes shut and pray that I will be spared. I feel it's cold wet nose touch my neck as it inhales deeply. I feel the electrical current in my body come to life making my body buzz.

I prepare for my powers to strike this beast down but I gasp when I feel his warm wet tongue glides across the nape of my neck. The powers in my body shoot to my heart making it leap in my chest and my neck sending small electrical shocks where it's tongue touches.

The beast pulls back from my neck and I slowly turn my head back finally remembering to breath. It comes in pants at first and I notice the beasts face right in front of mine.

Gold glittery eyes bore into mine and I feel my cheeks heat intensely. The powers in my body run ramped nearly making me shake on the spot.

The only person known with gold eyes is the king. Is this him? Is this giant beast part of the king? His eyes are slightly different. I have never seen glitter swirl within his eyes only they glow. But so does this beasts they just swirl with beauty. If it is the king why is he licking my neck?

My head swirls and I begin to feel light headed very quickly. My body goes weak and I feel myself begin to fall limp as the darkness floods me the last thing I remember is the gold glittering eyes.

I groan from the headache I have even with my head laying on my fluffy pillow it gives no relief. I sit up quickly looking around panicked but my room comes into view. I am tucked in my blankets in the same clothes I fell asleep in.

It all must've just been a dream a strange one at that.

I look to my clock and see that it says 9:00. My heart stops as I jump out of bed and hurry to change my clothes.

I throw on a pair of jean shorts and a loose crop then sandals. I rush out of my room as I throw my hair into a bun on top of my head. Racing to the kitchen I notice everyone is already in waiting breakfast. I rush through the kitchen doors and see two omegas eating breakfast at the island.

"Oh my gosh I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to oversleep and miss making breakfast."

The girls look at each other confused then me. I take note of one of them eyeing me strangely.

"Lela you didn't have to do breakfast this morning you were excused. You are supposed to be packing to leave."

I look at them confused and I see Jade enter the kitchen her eyes locking on me. She grabs my arm and drags me out of the kitchen up the stairs toward her fathers office.

"Jade, what are you doing? Why are you dragging me?" I ask trying to get out of her grip but she doesn't let go or say anything. I struggle against her but it is useless and she stops in front of her fathers office. She looks to me with furrowed brows then throws the door open.

I am dragged into the office and she closes the door behind me going to sit on the sofa beside Peter. I see Alpha Reed sitting at his desk and take note of the man standing at the window with his back to me.

"Please sit Lela, we have a few things to discuss." Alpha Reed says in a very neutral tone and I feel my body begin to buzz from the power flowing through me.

I brush the nerves away and take a seat in one of the chairs in front of his desk. I cross my legs and sit back trying to relax. I see Jade out of the corner of my eyes but she doesn't seem nervous or anything she is actually smiling.

"Congratulations on winning the trial and on finally figuring out who you truly are." Alpha Reed says with a slight smile and I look to him puzzled.

"Meaning no disrespect Alpha but this has not shown me who I truly am. I thought I knew who I was and now I am left lost confused and soon to be alone when Jade leaves. This is not a happy time in my life but trying and risky." I spit out sitting up no longer feeling calmed but panic races through me my powers reacting to it as they prickle my skin.

"I understand Lela truly I do, but the kingdom will have lots of witches to help support you and teach you the ways of your magic."

My throat runs dry and my eyes go wide. My heart hammers in my ears and I barely hear him speaking.

"Now we have had all of your things packed for you including your books and things of such. Their is a car waiting out front for you it is time for you to take your leave."

A guard stands next to me and I slowly stand up before turning and walking out of the room. I follow the guard down the stairs and notice all of the eyes that are on me as I exit the pack house. Four black SUVs are parked and I am escorted to the second SUV.

A taller man with blonde hair and dark blue eyes opens the back door to the SUV. He is dressed casually unlike the guards that all wear matching outfits. He smiles warmly to me but I can't seem to wipe the stunned look from my face with the news I had just received.

I feel my skin prickle from familiar eyes being on me and I turn to see the king walking down the steps. My heart leaps in my chest and my breath hitches but I furrow my brows confused by my bodies reaction.

I lock eyes with his glowing gold ones and a chill runs down my spine as images of my dream rush my mind. The glittering gold eyes my powers sparking at the surface reacting to the beast.

I blink and look away quickly turning back to the man that has his hand extended to me. I take it cautiously and allow him to help me into the tall SUV.

When I look back the door is being closed and I see the man walk up to the king who is now beside the SUV behind me. I watch their interaction and see how casual they are when they communicate unlike how the king has been with everyone else besides Peter.

The kings eyes lock with mine and I gasp slightly but then I remember the windows are pitch black from the outside. The king disappears into the SUV and I see the man walking back toward the drivers side of my SUV.

He gets in and the entourage of vehicles pulls away. I watch the packhouse out of the back window until we are encased in woods and left the territory.

I look back to the front and see the vast woods in front of us as we make the long journey to the kingdom. It is located in the Smokey mountains in Tennessee. A longer journey from my home in Alabama. I try to relax into the seat and close my eyes to prepare for the 6 hour drive ahead of us.

"The names Aleric. I will be the trainer you work with while at the kingdom. I train all new recruits although you will be the first witch." The man in the front seat says and I peel my eyes open looking at him but he isn't looking back at me.

His eyes are strictly on the road I stay quiet and lean my head against the window watching the trees pass by until I finally fall asleep.

The sounds of a car door closing makes me jump and I sit bolt upright. The driver is out of the car and I look around to see the palace is a distance away still. The other SUV's drive past toward the palace and I watch until the back hatch opening grabs my attention.

The man named Aleric picks up bags that are mine and I quickly scramble out of the car hoping down onto my feet. I grab a couple bags before he closes the hatch and lifts the rest.

I follow him into a small cabin that has one bedroom a bathroom a small kitchen and living room. It is fully furnished and the fridge is stocked with food. He sets the bags down and walks to the door stopping in front of it and turning back to me.

"Go ahead and get settled training starts at 5 am breakfast is at 4 if you choose to eat at the hall. I suggest trying it out to get to know everyone. Glad to have you here Liliana." He says opening the door and I clear my throat to speak up.

"It's Lela... Just Lela.." I say and he turns to me his eyes widening slightly before he nods and closes the door behind him.

I spend the rest of the afternoon looking around the cabin. I don't unpack anything but instead make a neat pile of my bags in the living room and moving the ones with clothes to the bedroom. I walk to the kitchen and grab a glass of water and decide to eat a snack since I haven't ate anything yet today. I then grab the journal and bag before heading out of my cabin.

I see a small patch of woods and head into it cautiously. I step lightly watching where I'm going and slightly exploring. I can tell where wolves often run and where no one has really gone. I find a giant tree and decide to climb it tightening my bag on my back. I climb up extremely high where the branches won't hold much weight but will hold mine.

I sit and grab my backpack unzipping it and pulling out the journal. I notice the new etching on the back beside the name Liliana. It has a date the exact date of my birthday actually.

I take a deepbreath and look to the front cover that is still blank and flip open the cover. It flips through the pages as a breeze hits me chilling my skin. I look down to the page but then hear growling and running.

I panic and close the book throwing it in my bag. The sun is setting and the fog growing thick from the Smokey mountains.

I watch wolves run past and slowly climb down careful of where I place my feet. My feet hit the ground and I take a deepbreath looking up the tree.

I turn around and jump when I see Aleric standing behind me. His arms are crossed and he is standing leaning against a tree that is close to the one I climbed.

"You shouldn't be out here Lela. It's not safe after dark with the wolves that run. I would hate for you to get hurt."

My body vibrates with anger hearing how he looks down on me as a weak human. I clench my shoulder straps tight as I feel my arms vibrate with power. I walk past him and my shoulder hits his hard as I march through the woods the way I came in. I head straight to my cabin and slam the door shut behind me before screaming dropping my bag and I feel the energy flow from me.

My eyes close naturally but I force them open and when I do I see the gold magic flying throughout the cabin. It is glittery and it bounces off the walls heading back to me as it hits and disappears back into me.

I collapsed onto the floor as the darkness consumes me
