Chapter 5

1115 Words
Liam’s POV I checked all through the corners of the city, and she was nowhere to be found. No one knew of her whereabouts, and that scared me the most. I spoke too soon. I saw Kylie in a Rolls Royce, laughing with someone else. s**t! I knew she had always cheated on me. She will pay for this. Returning home, I felt empty because the one person who at least cared had left me. “Bring me the documents so that we can send them to the Yamah’s Group to review.” The Yamah’s Group was one of the biggest companies. My company had been sending requests over the years to collaborate with them. At least I hadn’t lost my opportunity with the Yamah’s. “Hey, sweetie.” I could hear her annoying voice at the door. It was Aurora. She always came when she needed something, and my sister always followed like a bodyguard. “Bro… since Kylie is out of the way, you can marry Aurora. You guys will make a perfect couple.” “I need my wife back home.” “That thief? She dares not.” “Liam, let’s get married and have babies. Isn’t that why you divorced her? You never slept with her without thinking about me,” Aurora said, trying to convince me to be with her. “I never divorced her. She is still my wife, and plus, you two should leave. I have an appointment with the lead fashionist of the Yamah’s Group.” At least something I was proud of. “Mmm, lucky that you’ve met the coordinating director. I can connect you to the lead fashionist, even the CEO.” Now I see why I loved Aurora. She was just a gatepass to my success. “What? Wait—you met the CEO that no one has seen for over ten years?” Terra said in disbelief. And as soon as I get this gig with the Yamah’s, I will bring my wife back. There it was, the biggest company in the world. I knew this day would come, where I could finally get a signature from the lead fashionist. It turns out they were hosting a grand event for the lead fashionista. “Oh my days, bro! Today is the lead fashionist contract-signing premiere. I’ve always wanted to meet her.” My sister had never been so nervous about anyone. At least an opportunity to have a handshake with her. (Backstage) “Ladies and gentlemen, let us welcome the global lead fashionist for the Yamah’s Group… “MISS KYLIE HARRIS.” There she was. Her entrance was so majestic. I was calm until I saw the face of my wife. “Oh, give me a break. She probably planned all this to fool us. This skunk can never be a lead fashionist,” Aurora barked from behind. I never knew what I had. Now it’s gone. — — — Kylie’s POV I never knew nightmares came to reality. What could Liam be doing here with his goddess? “You b***h!” As usual, the almighty Aurora would always blab when she saw me. “Security! Arrest her for impersonating the lead fashionist!” How stupid of her to think she could call security on the lead fashionist. Little did I know, they were thugs she hired, dressed as security, to kidnap me. “Get off me! You will regret this!” “You stole my ten million dollars and call it love, Kylie!” As I expected, Liam would always blame it on me. “I never took your money, Liam.” “Let go of her now!!” It was Smith, the supervising director. He had always looked out for me right from the day I was divorced. “And who do you think you are? She’s my wife,” Liam claimed. “Well, if you must all know, I am the CEO, Yamah Smith of the Yamah’s Global Group.” I couldn’t believe it. All this time, I thought I was spending time with the supervising director—he was really the CEO who had been absent for ten years. “Jokes on you. The CEO hasn’t been seen for ten years, you liar,” Terra said in disbelief. “Security! Take these two intruders to the waiting room and arrest the lady for setting Kylie up for stealing ten million dollars.” I had always known that Terra wanted my downfall. She set me up together with Aurora to get me arrested. “Before I go, I want to have a word with my wife.” Yamah wouldn’t let me see Liam, but I insisted because he always respected my decisions. Liam dragged me to the theatre room, urging me to listen to him. “Kylie, please come back. I’m ready to love you fully. No more Aurora, she’s gone.” “Liam… I—” I couldn’t finish my sentence, as usual, but this time he interrupted with a kiss. Liam had never kissed me this way for years. I tried to pull away, but each attempt only drew me closer to him. He went further, stripping me of my clothes, but I couldn’t let him. “Liam, we are divorced. We can’t be doing this anymore. I feel something for Yamah, and he feels something for me too.” “Is he better than I am in bed?” Before I could respond, he had already made his way inside me. I had never experienced s*x like this with Liam—so intentional and easy. I had to open myself to him, even if it was my last experience with him. He made me feel like a woman after so many years. He laid his hands on my weak spots. I had never moaned in pleasure; it was always in pain. “I love you, Kylie. Come back to me. You don’t need him.” That was when I had a second thought. I remembered that I had to sign my hundred-million-dollar contract. “You don’t have to go, wife.” He tried holding me back. “What are you saying? Get off me!” He held me tighter and directed my face to the left side of the room, where his phone was—every moment being recorded, from the kiss to the s*x. “You have two options. You can either go out there, sign the contract, and get exposed, or you come back to me as my lawfully wedded wife,” he threatened, giving me a death stare. I was not only going to lose Yamah—my life was on the line.
