Chapter 18 The rest of the day was so hectic that Alicia never thought it would come to an end. She was on day float duty and oversaw admissions to the wards. Alicia had forgotten how busy it could be. She had started off the day with six old patients and seven new ones, but had ended up with twenty patients so far with two discharged. The attending round had been longer than usual given the number of new patients, but she had a good team of interns who’d kept up with them all. Together they had been able to finish the list of to-dos with enough time for her to teach and coach the medical student assigned to her team.
