Chapter 20
Alicia got up and stepped away from the computer. She stretched her arms in front of her before letting them fall by her side. It was all done. The last patient had been taken care of.
Alicia had been at the wards since six a.m. seeing to her patients and reviewing the sign out from the night float team. She’d been given the morning off because of the presentation, but she had wanted to make sure that all her patients were seen. Another resident would be covering for her for the rest of the day, and the interns would be handling the rest. They would only ping her if there was an emergency they couldn’t handle. But Alicia didn’t expect that to happen; the other resident was more than capable.
