Alicia couldn’t believe it was the handsome jerk who had splashed water on her earlier today! Mr. GQ was not only a doctor in this hospital, but a fellow resident in her General Medicine service! She had heard the rumors last week that a new resident was joining them, but she’d considered it impossible since the residency matching exercise had been over a few months back. Even though the Electronic Residency Application Service—ERAS—was primarily for interns, second year residents could still be matched and transferred through the same process, as long as they had the necessary sign-offs from the department chairs of their current and prospective hospitals.
