Stupid. Idiotic. Arrogant. Assholes! Watching them climb out of that damned buggy made my heart stop dead in my tracks. Blood soaked every inch of their bodies. Mud was caked on some parts of their legs, like they had rolled around in it. They looked worse for wear. And I was genuinely terrified for their safety when I saw them approaching. Scratch that, I had been terrified since the moment I opened my eyes and found no one in my room. Not even Dexter. His absence was explainable but theirs hadn't been. Thus I flew out of bed and came looking for them outside. Adrenaline and fear had rushed through me in waves. Speared my heart repeatedly.
