I was out of the dining room before either of them could even react. My shoes slapped against the floors, a rhythm of anger and panic. Up the stairs I went, turning left then right, following the familiar path towards Levi's room. They wanted to keep us here against our will. Wanted to keep Levi away from his father. Because, despite not sharing blood, he had been the one raising him. Levi knew him only as his father. "Sutton! Can you stop running and talk to us about this!"
