Xavier was pacing when I walked into his office. His thumb was firmly tucked between his front teeth. He was gnawing on it, the way he had when I had last seen him in this office. So many years had come and gone from then until now. Still, the deep lines between his brows remained the same. "Bastian told me to come to you. Christine is bringing Levi now, although from her haggard face I just know the boy is putting up a fight. Mind if he brings some toys with to soothe him?"
