By the time breakfast rolled around, I was still sour about the encounter we had last night. Vivid memories replayed in my mind, over and over again, until I wanted to pull out my hair. Everything had gone so well and yet so terribly wrong. Just thinking about it made my stomach turn over. Never before had I been so humiliated by him. And it stung more than I cared to admit. "Why aren't you eating?" Bastian asked from the other side of the table. Food overflowed on my plate after he had thrown a tantrum that I wasn't eating enough.
