Levi's room was indeed superhero-themed. The characters were sprawled along the walls in intricate fight scenes. Figurines lined the shelves. Brand-new play sets lined the bottom of his wall in doorless cupboards. Even his bedsheets were covered in heroes. They had stocked the place up to the brim in the short time span they had known we were coming here. His en-suite bathroom was stocked with every essential item a child could need, including medicine. Wardrobe was filled with designer clothes. The food pantry had been restocked to accommodate what a child may want. And the scene from earlier with Levi and Bastian refused to leave my mind. Both of them looked so happy. So innocent.
