Elara'S POV Startling awake, I bolted upright. My head pounded and my vision tilted as I took in the iron-barred cage, the thick chains at my wrists and ankles that threaded through the bars, and the sparse lantern glowed in the cavern. I must have passed out because I sure as hell hadn’t fallen asleep. I tested my wolf strength against the chains. They groaned but held. f**k! Even if I shifted, I’d probably be trapped in this cage. I could really use my wand right about now—except it was lying in the forest somewhere. I was so pissed at myself for dropping it. Again.
