Once Dinah was alone, she phoned Thompson. She was Julie’s friend but, one thing Julie did not know, was that she was Thompson’s employee first. When he answered, she told him everything that had happened and asked him to tell her what to do next.
“Let her do whatever she wants,” Thompson replied, “but I want you to follow her around the clock to make sure that she’s safe.”
