Jasmine stood up and rushed over to Ken trying to push him out the door, “Ken, what the f**k are you doing? Get out!”
“Why?” Ken’s eyes were red and his pupils were enlarged. He escaped Jasmine’s hands and staggered towards where Andrew was sitting. “Nice to meet you, my brother-in-law. My name’s Ken White.”
Andrew looked at Ken with cold eyes. Without responding to Andrew, he growled to Jasmine, “Jasmine, who’s this?”
“Andrew…um…he…” Jasmine stuttered out. She did not want to humiliate herself before Andrew but she could not get away with not knowing Ken since he ha already blabbed out her name.
“He…he’s Julie’s cousin,” Jasmine replied confidently hoping Andrew would not detect the lie from her voice.
