Cold was the last thing she was. Kael was a cold-blooded shifter, and being held by him was like carrying a natural ice pack in the heat. It was, she had to admit, not unpleasant. She shook her head and set the question of the storage space aside for now. "No, I'm fine. How much farther until we reach the resting spot?" He glanced ahead at the tree line, his tail easing around the scattered rocks, his voice a shade softer than before. "Through those oaks up ahead, there's a stream. A few large boulders along the bank should block the midday sun. We'll rest there. We're almost there." She
