Chapter 4 Volleyball Life

He instantly sits up and i finish my sentence you can have some coffee before we leave. He grabs me and throws me on the bed and says that’s not funny. I say it got you to wake up though. I go to wake up Ethan and he says 5 more minutes I say nope get up, were leaving in 30 minutes lets go. I go stretch in the living room. Ethan is up and says okay lets just go get coffee and breakfast and we can go the courts, I say okay and run to the bathroom and grab my stuff. I text the guys to let them know we are stopping to get coffee if they wanted anything and they call me. Its the girls in the background saying yes please we didn't wake up in time and Roman wouldn't let us make any we will send you what we want please. I say okay. The guys say get us a large regular coffee and the girls want there special coffee ill send you the picture of them.

We load up and head to the coffee shop. Text from RB group Iced Toasted Vanilla Oatmilk Shaken Espresso for Ashley, Iced Chocolate Almondmilk Shaken Espresso for Amber and Java Chip Frappuccino Blended Beverage for Bobby. I text back okay got it anything to eat. Text from RB group Spinach, Feta & Egg White Wrap for the girls and Double-Smoked Bacon, Cheddar & Egg Sandwich for Roman and I please babe. I text back you got it babes. I say lets just go inside to order it'll be easier. So we go in and order and i pay for mine and Roman and Blazes while each of the guys pay for each of the girls. We get our food and drinks and head back to the truck. We wait to eat as the courts are right by Starbucks. There is six courts and the girls managed to get an outer court the best ones. There playing around so no one takes the court or pushes them off. The rules on the sign say an hour tops so we eat quick and get warmed up. We play rock paper scissors to pick whose on each team the guys sit out,simce the girls want to see how i am on the court. I win the first round and i pick what side and then Amber wins the next round and goes to the other side. Bobby is on my team and Ashley on the other. Bobby says yay i so did not want to play against you. We win to serve first. I serve and it goes in between Amber and Ashley and they say my goodness your serve is insane. The guys keep score and i serve again and they volley it back to us and i spike and they miss. The game continues on like this and we are up by 10 points, Bobby serves and we only need 4 more points to win. A crowd is gathered around us cheering and i go to spike while Ashley tries to block but i make it past her block and gain the 2 points. Bobby serves again and makes an ace. The crowd cheers and there is a recruiter in the crowd and walks up to us and says wow girls that was an intense game. Are you girls on a team and the girls say yes we are but we don't normally play beach volleyball, but Kacee isn't yet. The recruiter says well id love for you all to come try out tomorrow night if you girls would like we have a team here in st Augustine and in Gainesville. We say Gainesville would be better since that where we live closer to. The recruiter gives us each a paper to fill out right now and says to come out tomorrow night at 6 pm and we will go from there. We all run up to each other screaming and saying yay omg i cant believe this.

The guys congratulate us and say lets go eat a celebration brunch and then go tell our parents and your aunts. Blaze and Roman pull me aside and say and when were done eating the tattoo artist has an appointment at 1 pm today to do your consult. I have 8 tattoos so far 3 on my arms a cuff, a wolf with a Indian headdress and a dream catcher, one on my chest with my middle name and a rose and 4 on my legs one that dedicated to my dads friend a running with the devil and the other leg has a rose, a butterfly and a small heart.

I say yay now i just have to figure out what and where i want it. I say i kind of want a Kitsune or phoenix tattoo.

We go to Ihop since its close and order food. We talk and hang out and plan the rest of the day out. Ashley, Amber, Bobby, Chayson, Ethan and Jimmy are going to the beach when we get back and Roman, Blaze and i are going to head to the tattoo shop and then meet everyone on the beach. We pay the bill and head back to the house. Aunt Nancy asks what took us so long and we say well we got recruited to try out for a beach volleyball team and Nancy says wow i new you were good so maybe you can do that. I say thank you and say Roman and Blaze are taking me out but we will meet them on the beach later today. Janet says okay have fun. I go change my clothes and i get a text from the guys were here baby. I grab my purse and walk to their car. They say have you decided on what you want i say no probably i will get both and laugh. We pull up to the tattoo shop and walk in. The artist is waiting for us and he says to Roman man long time no see and you too Blaze so this is your guys girlfriend wow she already has some wonderful art on her. I say thank you im ready to add to my collection. The tattoo artist name is Tim and has been tattooing for about 20 years now. He does mainly old school and some realism tattoos. But for what i want my tattoos are mainly old school. We walk back to his area and he asks okay so tell me what you'd like and we can see about getting it done on Saturday. He says they don't normally work Saturdays but they can fit me in and anything to catch up with his friends. I say thank you and tell him what id like that the design was up to him, id like it old school to fit with my other tattoos and just the colors i wanted the Kitsune. Tim says oh i love when the design is up to me. He asks what color i wanted and how many tails i said a long time ago i had a dream about a kitsune and it was a red orangish face with a white body and 3 tails with red at the tips of its tail. He says wow that sounds cool. I said it was floating in the air so if he could have it atleast do that the rest was up to him. He then asked about the phoenix and i said that the design was up to him and the colors though the original red and orange like it was on fire. I showed him where i want the phoenix in between my other tattoos on my arm and i wanted it to finish my arm sleeve. Tim said perfect spot i like them being big i can add more detail. And i asked i want the kitsune on my left arm but im not sure i could go for my lower leg if i needed to if it'd look better. He looked at my arm and said yea the kitsune would be kind of small on my arm but he could get it bigger on my leg with the detail but it was up to me. He said he could draw it up and Saturday i could decide they could put the stencil on my arm and leg and i can choose then. I say thank you id definetly be back to the shop for my thirds tattoo i want and he asked well where do you want that one and what is it, I say its an angel of war i want to get on the other side of the running with the devil tattoo on my leg. He said well i can draw that up too and we can see if we have time. I say im not sure if i have the money right now but let me pay for these two and ill let you know he gives me the price of the two tattoos and he says for the two i can do 800 dollars and if you want the third it will be 1200 dollars. I say let me think about the third one and lets just do the two for now, I want to be able to give you a tip. He says no problem that he will get them drawn up but for today it'll just be half of the 800 to pay up front and the rest on Saturday, I say okay and he asks can he bring in another artist and we can get more done in one day and I would not have to come back for a second time later in the week. I say okay and he calls in his coworker. His name is Adam and he's been tattooing for 10 years. Adam walks in and says hello and he sees the guys and i guess they are friends too and they say wow duded long time no see. Roman says yea dude we should all go out one night and catch up. Adam says yes theres a new bar that just opened up and to bring there old ladies. Blaze says well we don't have old ladies just one and shes here right now. Adam apologizes to me and says you got your hands full with these two. Adam says so what brings you in young lady. Tim says well shes getting two tattoos and i wanted to bring you in one helping me out so she doesn't have to come back and shes possibly wanting a third on Saturday if he would want to help. Adam says damn okay lets do this what is she getting and Tim says on one arm in between her tattoos on her right arm shes getting a phoenix and the other arm possibly leg she hasn't decided yet so im drawing it up for her arm or her leg its a kitsune with 3 tails and red on the head and red on the tips of the tails. He says dang that badass, but whats the third if she gets it and he says she wants a angel of war on the other leg of the running with the devil tattoo and their designs are all up to us just the kitsune she kind of wants floating in the air. Adam says damn girl those are going to be some sick tattoos and yes id love to join in. Adam says he'd do the kitsune since phoenix are Tim's specialty they always come out amazing. Adam says and please do the angel of war or atleast let them start it. I say okay i will since i may be getting recruited tonight for beach volleyball. Tim and Adam says no way that awesome we got an athlete in here tonight.

I laugh and say i think so i haven't played in about 2 years and im hoping i need a way to chill out I've been working so much. They say well, Saturday will be another way to chill seems you like tattoos and i say yes its like a spa day for me. They say okay now let us get to work on your design. Roman and Blaze say well see you tomorrow night for drinks and some food thanks again guys. We leave the tattoo shop and its 2 pm now and the guys say lets go gets some food and head to the beach to hang out before you have to go to the tryouts baby. We go to steak n shake and head home. Roman is driving and im sitting in the back with Blaze he asks how about a quick one babe. I say okay anyone at your guys place? They so no there all at the beach so we head to their place. We walk up the stairs and go straight to their bedroom and Blaze grabs me up and says finally we can have you the right way. Blaze undresses me and starts kissing me. As he is kissing me Roman is getting undressed and saying babe your so fine we've been waiting too long. We make it quick incase someone comes back. I know were all old enough but its still our business at the end of the day. Roman starts playing with my kitten and massaging it. I go down on Blaze and hes already hard and ready to go so am i. He pulls me up and turns me around on the bed and i start sucking on Roman while Blaze slowly puts his member in me, going ever so slow at first until her cant handle anymore. As were walking down to the beach Romans mom is walking up we laugh and say hello and she says finally you guys are joining us how was the tattoo shop and i tell her im getting a few on Saturday morning. She says well as much as i don't like tattoos they suit me. Roman is covered head to toe in tattoos there is barley a spot left on his body that doesn't have a tattoo and same with Blaze he has a few more spots but hes covered and its so hot.

We get down to the beach and James and Harley come running and say come get in the water with us none else will. We say okay and drop our clothes and shoes and run to the water with them. Chayson, the guys and girls join us in the water too and Amber says you guys were gone a long time. I say yea i couldn't decide the placement and how many and laugh. Ashley says i don't know how you guys can get tattoos doesn't it hurt and i say no its like a spa day for me, she says oh that doesn't seem fun a bunch of needles. Blaze says to each there own. We swim around for a while and i say im hungry again and we need to rest up for tonight at the courts.The girls agree and we all head back to our homes. Roman says they will meet us at the courts tonight for our try outs.

We head back to the house and Aunt Nancy says im so proud of you are we allowed to come to the try outs too and i say of course. Ethan, Harley and Nancy go get showers first. I hang back with Jimmy and smoke my vape. He says you ready for tonight. I say as much as im going to be im just going to shower and take a nap. Its 3 pm already. We walk inside and Ethan is out of the shower same with Harley and Jimmy says you can go first me and Chayson will figure out whose next. I say okay and grab my clothes and go shower locking the door this time. I start the shower and let it get warm and slip in and get a shower. I hear the door open and Chayson enters again. He says hey i haven't seen you all day how are you. I say im fine would be nice to get a shower alone though. He says i just wanted to see how you were and ill leave i promise i wont try anything. I laugh and say okay sarcastically. The shower curtain is just a white clear one so you can make out a figure but cant see, I turn off the water and reach for my towel and i step out and wrap my towel around me. I say to Chayson did you enjoy the show or can i go take a nap now. He grabs me and says ill always enjoy the show and hugs me and says now go take a nap. That was the first he didn't try anything. I text RB group and say Im going to take a nap and ill text them when im up. They text back Okay love sleep good dream of us. I plug in my phone and set an alarm for 4:30 pm and snooze off.

My alarm goes off and i hit the snooze for a couple of minutes before getting up and getting my outfit picked out. The guys are playing video games. I pick out a bright blue cheeky swim suit bottom and a lime green sports bra and throw on a pair of shorts and a tshirt. I go change and aunt Nancy yells now come eat something first before we head down and get a good parking spot and a good spot to watch you. I say okay and come eat something small. Im so nervous. I text RB group and say Im up now getting around we will be leaving soon. Roman texts back and says okay babe so are we the girls are so nervous but we know you guys will do great.

We load up in the cars and head to the courts. Ethan says go knock em out or whatever you say and laughs. We park and i walk over to the girls and kiss the guys for good luck. The recruiter's name is Kim and she says welcome to everyone and gives us a number to put on our shirts. She says go warm up and get ready to be paired for the first round. The girls and i go stretch and we were all called to circle around Kim to do the teams. Kim chose our teams she said to Bobby and i we played really well together so we'd start off that way and same with Ashley and Amber. There are about 24 girls here and 6 courts so every court is used and Bobby and i are playing against really tall girls, like 5 foot 11 inches tall and were only 5 foot 2 inches, so we have our work cut out for us. We flip a coin to decide whose serving first and we win the coin toss. We have to wait till the whistle blows to start the game and were only playing til 20 points, each point is 2 points. I serve as the whistle blows and it goes right in between them and they look at me and say wow that was fast we didn't even see it. I serve again and it goes straight on the line. The third serve they volley and spike it to us and i bump it to Bobby and she sets it to me and i go in for a spike but they go to block so i change up and flop it over and gain the point. I serve again and they volley and spike it over and Bobby misses her footing and makes the ball go the other way where i couldn't get to it. I huddle up with Bobby and reassure her we got this and she says i know im just jittery and nervous. They serve to us and we volley it and i set up Bobby and her spikes are insanely good it hits the one girls arm and goes the other way. Bobby serves and the girls volley it and plop it on our side and i bump it over to Bobby who sets me up and i spike hitting right on the back line. Bobby serves again and gets an ace. Bobby serves and the girls volley and spike it to us and i thought it was out but it hit right on the line.

The girls serves and i bump it to Bobby and she sets it to me and i spike and it hits the one girls arm again and goes to the opposite side of the other girl and she misses it. I serve and get an ace. I serve again and the girls volley and spike over but it hits the net. This is the last point we need and i serve and the girls volley and spike and we continue this for a good while and they spike over again and i bump it to Bobby who sets me up and i spike hitting the middle of the two girls they just look at each other while the ball hits down. We win 20 points to 4 points. We go to the net and say thank you for the game and the girls say wow you guys are a good team. Kim comes over and documents our win, saying congratulations girls you were the last team standing that was a good game. We all gather and Kim says i know i said this was tryouts but everyone has made the team and now were going to switch up the teams and im going to see how each of you play with a different girl but first lets talk about how this beach volley ball team works. First we do play for money so when you girls win you each get paid 500 dollars and if you loose you each get 250 dollars. We have a game each week or weekend and then you can go to tournaments and there you could win 1000 dollars and up and if you do loose you still get 500 dollars. We do this so you girls can focus on training and you can still work a job but we do want you to focus. Now if this doesn't work for any of the girls now is your time to leave and 2 girls leave and say we should be getting paid more no thank you. Kim says okay well thanks for coming out.

Kim says now lets regroup and i want to see atleast one more game out of each of you. We each get paired with a different girl and i got paired with a girl named Sara. She is tall about 5 foot 9 inches tall. She walks over and says i saw some of your game you are really good im glad im on your team and not against you. I say to her its all about team work and calling the ball. She says yes that it is im glad you understand the last girl i played with did not understand that and she was one of the ones that walked off. I say well lets stretch and get ready then. Two girls walk over and say lets coin flip and get this game started, they were not nice at all. Roman and Blaze yell over lets go Kacee and the two girls say aww isn't that sweet you brothers are cheering you on and i say there not my brothers there my boyfriends and the girls say yea right. Sara says what girl that crazy those two hunks are gorgeous how'd you do that i say i just was walking on the beach and boom we fell in love and laughed. Sara said that awesome i hope to find someone like that. The two girls yell over to Roman and Blaze and say thanks babe and they ignored the girls really pissing them off. Sara says wow you got two great guys if i was you id go beat them up. I say to Sara we are were about to whoop there butts on this court so lets go, get pumped. Sara says that the spirit and the other girls win the toss and serve first.

The one girl serves and she hits the net, giving us the point and now its our serve. Sara chose to serve first and her serves are good but not the best, the girls volley and spike it to us and i bump it to Sara and she sets me and i spike hard and tee girls try to block but it goes right over them and hits behind them missing it. Sara serves again and it hits the net. I huddle with her and say its okay we got this and she says i know im sorry i say don't worry we still have a whole game to make it up. The other girl serves and it goes out of bounds. I say to Sara see were siking them out. She smiles and now its my serve i serve and get 3 aces back to back. Were up 12 points to 2 points. I serve again and we volley back and forth for what seems like 5 minutes until Sara spikes and gets it flopped right over there heads, gaining us the point. Everyone elses game is over so they all crowd around us to watch. Amber, Ashley and Bobby yell go Kacee. I serve again and the girls volley and i go to spike and they block it and Sara gets the return and unfortunately it goes where i cant get to it. The girl serves and we volley and Sara spikes hitting right on the line i run up to her and give her a high five. The other girls look so pissed there even bad talking to me, you win and were gonna take your boyfriends better watch out and i laugh. Sara serves and they volley it back doing a flop spike and i get it and bump it to Sara and she sets me up and i spike so hard the other girls couldn't even get to it. I hear the one girl say you messed up small one, your nickname is not killer KC i laugh and say i think that point proved it. Sara serves again and they volley it and i block there spike hitting it right back to them and they were caught of guard of how short i am that i can block and the ball goes down right in front of the net where they cant bump it. I run to Sara and say great game we work really well together. We go to the net and say thanks for the game and the girls ignore us and they walk right over to Roman and Blaze. Sara says oh girl these two have it out for being sore losers they even trying to take your men. I say yea like they can do that just watch. We stand there while the two are trying there best to talk to them but they ignore them and walk straight to me while Amber says to them you stupid little girls there so out of your league you couldn't even beat the best go be sore losers somewhere else. Sara says wow i like that one girl shes awesome, i say yea that Amber she speaks her mind. Her and Ashley are twins and sister to Roman and Bobby and Blaze are siblings and they are all family friends so they watch out for each other. Blaze picks me up and says great job babe you were amazing and kisses me and Roman says my turn and does the same. Sara says wow shes got two awesome guys, i hope to be on her team when we get paired for the games. Kim walks over and says wow girls you two worked simultaneously together i think we found our first pair for the starter. As the two girls that played against you two they will not be on our team and Kim says you girls may leave as we don't do what you just did we say thank you for the game even if we loose, good sportsmanship is the motto of volleyball and any sport. The girls say whatever we didn't even like this set up.

Kim says okay well now that we weeded out the weak we can talk about when the first official game will be. Kim says it will be in a week here Sunday evening at 4 pm if that works with every one, I say yes ill still be here in St Augustine. She said perfect Sara is on vacation too and she lives in Gainesville so that why i paired some of you guys with each other to make training easier. You girls will need to come train
