The hiss of meat on a hot frying pan filled the room. Automatically I went and pulled out plates. “Rick, you staying for breakfast?” “Are you kidding? Sure! What's on the menu?” “Bill's making up sausage gravy and I just made the biscuits.” “Oh, I'm up for a plateful, sweetheart,” he said. A half-hour later we were all eating the delicious biscuits I made and the sausage gravy Bill made. He got complements from everyone. I did too, but I just mixed this stuff up, and it wasn't all that much, really. “I'm glad you were able to get back into the house, Sabrina.
