Chapter FifteenDagger's Return
After a short, but refreshing nap, I'd gotten to the bathroom without any help, or even the use of the wheelchair. I had only a little stiffness in my joints and leg muscles, but at least they didn't hurt any more. What a difference from last night, or this morning, or even an hour ago! The dizziness was almost completely gone. I was giddy with delight. The nasty bruises on my legs were also gone, which was a big plus. I wanted to hug Bill for this, but I kept my distance. I worried if I got my arms wound around his neck I'd want to kiss him. And then, where would that lead? However Bill had done it, he had taken away my pain.
