Hissing air through clenched teeth, Anna shook her head. “Damn that woman,” she whispered. “She just won't quit. Multi-tool active! Nano-cameras!” Nanobots the size of a grain of sand emerged from the metal disk that was strapped to her gauntlet. They crawled over her hand and down her leg, clustering together at her feet. Then, like a swarm of ants, they scurried through the skylight window and attached themselves to the banquet hall's ceiling. Each one projected a hair-thin laser, mapping the room below. The screen on her gauntlet lit up with an image composed entirely of pulsing, blue lines. But it was clear enough for her to make out individual objects.
