Irene called Perry's number, but she didn't pick up. So Irene went to the guest room upstairs. No luck. Then she tried the dining room on the second floor—there she was, eating.
"Perry," Irene smiled as she walked over, "your dad wants to see you in the private room. He's got something to say."
Perry didn't even look up. "You seriously don't see me eating here?"
Irene clenched her teeth inwardly but had to keep her tone soft. "Just go, please."
"I don't feel like it." Perry kept right on eating.
The more Irene looked at her face, the more uneasy she felt. "It's Alpha Tom. He wants to see you."
"If he wants to see me, he can come here." Perry wasn't trying to be difficult. She just had zero intention of getting dragged into their mess.
