I wake up as soon as the sun rises. I hate it in this stupid room, I hate sleeping without Kael. I can’t even go get one of his shirts to wear. The servants brought me dinner last night, but it was boring food— broth and crackers. I didn’t bother eating.
An hour of boredom goes by. I tried to read Kiana’s celebrity magazine that she left behind, but it was so cringey, I determined it was probably better for my sanity to just stare at the wall.
I hear a soft knock on the door and Kiana enters before I can even respond. “Hey so, we brought Kael…”
