Kael’s POV I wander aimlessly through the forest as the sun starts to rise. Hungry, just hungry. There’s no more blood left in the entire pack, I went through last night and depleted every last drop of everyone’s supply. My mind is so hazy. I can’t think straight. I just need more blood and I’ll be fine. Oh, perfect. I found some food. A couple of backpackers are in the clearing just ahead, packing up their tent. They don’t even see me.
