After cleaning up the scorched bedsheets and getting dressed, Kael mindlinks Talon.
“I told him to meet us in the office, he said that there's something we should see.”
It makes me nervous, thinking that Talon might have found something about me. A part of me doesn't want to know.
“Are you… going to make me wait here?”
Kael grabs both my hands and looks into my eyes. “Of course not. Anything I know, you should know too.”
A dumb cheesy grin grows across my face. “That means so much to me, thank you.”
We walk through the endless hallways, giggling and making jokes with each other along the way. I still don’t know my way around by myself. How pathetic.
