Chapter 3: Me? Soveriegn Academy?

540 Words
“ME! Sovereign Academy?” I yelled at the top of my lungs towards Princess Emily, that bastard said that I should enroll in the top academy where prodigies and nobles know magic like nobody else go to. Princess Emily leaned back in her ornate chair, her eyes sparkling with amusement as she regarded me. "You must be feeling quite bewildered, I suppose. After all, not many people get the opportunity to meet the princess of the greatest kingdom in the world." Her smug face was impossible to miss, and it was clear that she relished her position. "Well, I'm honored to meet you, a... oh, what was it again?" She seemed to search for the right words, a mockery in her tone. "Oh yes, a Blanderer in my lifetime!" The title held no meaning to me, but she seemed to derive great pleasure from using it. I furrowed my brow, attempting to conceal my agitation. "I'm not a Blanderer. I don't even know what it means." She let out a chuckle, the sound resonating through the grand room. After retrieving her glasses, she carefully placed them on her nose. With an air of authority, she raised her hand, as if presenting a profound revelation. "A blanderer, in this context, is a term used to describe an individual who has come from a world entirely different from ours. "H-How did you know I was from another world?" I stared at her in shock. There was no way she could have known. I haven't told a single person about this subject yet, so how does she know? Her out of anyone!" Emily smirks with that shitty attitude of hers, "You don't need to know, dumbass" She started at me with eyes of a tiger, staring into the deepest parts of my body. She sends shivers down my spine, we sit in silence for a long time. Is she really a princess? Or a demon? "I don't like you calling me a blande-" "And what are you going to do, punch me? You can't really f*****g do that, can you?" She smirked, which activated a switch deep within my body. A switch I never wanted to be switched on. This newfound HATRED surged through me. Her smugness was almost too much to bear. I wanted to tell her that she was a fool, that I wouldn't be cowed by her mockery. But as she signaled for her guards to escort me out, I knew that there was little I could do. As I walked down the hallway, the white walls and the grand red carpet seemed to mock me with their opulence. The squeaking echoed through the corridor, a constant reminder of my humiliation. I entered my room, taking in the luxurious details and wondering how much more I would have to endure in this academy. Lying in my bed, I couldn't help but feel a sense of dread. Going to an academy where I didn't know anything about swordsmanship or magic felt like a joke, a cruel twist of fate. But as I closed my eyes and tried to escape the memory of Princess Emily's smug face, I knew that I had no choice but to face the challenges ahead.
