Chapter 8: The Aelous's Plan (Part 2)

699 Words
Emily's lips curled into a wicked grin. "You're a brave one, aren't you, Felix? I admire your courage, but it will be your downfall. You've made your choice. Now, we'll see if you can live with the consequences. See you in a while." See smirks as she turns around and disappears in the shadows. The flashback ends, myself staring in the ceiling, wondering what I should do. Putting my hand on my right eye. This wasn't normal. Why was the princess so edgy? And why was she wearing that cloak? As I sat there, lost in thought, my mind began to race with a thousand different possibilities. What could Princess Emily want with my blood? And more importantly, how could I possibly escape her clutches? I knew I had to act fast, but I also needed a plan. I decided to consult with my closest friends and allies. They were the ones who knew me best and could help me come up with a strategy to deal with this unexpected threat. I needed to warn them about the danger that Emily posed, but I also had to be cautious not to alert her to my intentions. I stood up from my bed, determined to seek out my friends and discuss the situation with them. As I walked out of my room, I couldn't shake the feeling that I was being watched. The feeling of unease only grew stronger as I made my way through the castle, each step echoing in the empty halls. I knew that I had to be careful. Emily was a powerful and unpredictable figure, and I couldn't afford to make any mistakes. My heart pounded in my chest as I moved stealthily through the castle, searching for my friends. I needed their help, and I needed it soon. "What a load of s**t" I whisper, clearly angry. Jarvis: I've gathered some data. I look at Jarvis, confused as to what he means as "data". I look around the hallway before turning back to Jarvis "What do you mean data?" I question. Jarvis: Let me explain! I shake my head, allowing him to speak. Jarvis: Remember the logo on the back of Princess Emilia's clothes? "Yes, go on." Jarvis: That was the logo of the Aelous, a team of madmen who's adjectives are to unseal the god of hurricanes, Tempest.... "What about this Tempest man, did he do something bad?" I question Jarvis,, fairly interested in the topic. Jarvis: Tempest. 1,000 years ago, during a time period known as the Age of Gods, there were two factions among the divine beings. One faction was composed of gods who loved humanity and sought to protect it, while the other faction harbored hatred for humans and wished them harm. These two groups engaged in a devastating war that lasted for 21 years, causing immense suffering for humanity. It was an incredibly unfair conflict, as approximately 95% of the gods were not on humanity's side. Despite the overwhelming odds against them, humans managed to negotiate a truce with the gods, ultimately emerging from the war with newfound powers. "How did humanity pull such a strong feat?" I inquire. Jarvis: It was due to the efforts of Captain Jo Sol and his squad, who fought valiantly against the evil gods during that time. They killed many divine beings and, with the crucial assistance of the Ally Gods, managed to pressure the malevolent gods into a truce. This ultimately led to the end of the war. I look satisfied towards Jarvis, but I still have one more question to ask. An important one. "What was Tempest's role in all of this?" Jarvis hesitates for a moment, clearly reluctant to answer the question. I walk towards an empty room, hoping to avoid any prying ears. Once we're alone, Jarvis finally speaks up. Jarvis: He... Was one of the leaders for the enemies. If not for him being sealed by Jo Sol's sacrifice, we wouldn't have won the war. "Was he that strong?" I inquire as I flicker the lights on. A flash of lightning illuminates the night sky outside before disappearing back into darkness. Jarvis: No, he wasn't strong. Just incredibly... smart.
