CHAPTER FIFTEEN I awoke to the clattering of dishes. My eyes fluttered open, and I found a small fire burning in front of me. The sound came from behind, and I rolled over to discover that Luca was gone. Fortunately, he was only in the kitchen where he was juggling the making of the tea. I sat up and rubbed the sleep from my eyes as sunlight streamed into the room.
