After dating for a month, Mike started to behave negatively towards Tiwa. She did not take it as anything because she felt that he was busy with preparation for mock exams and then one day Vivian stood up to her.
“What is happening to Mike these days his character has changed totally.”
“Maybe he is frustrated.”
“You mean he is frustrated all the time.”
“Em, em, em, em, em.”
“Em what, you better confront him and ask him what is going on.”
“Okay I will do just that.”
“You better before it is too late.”
“Okay ooo.”
With the advice she got from Vivian so she went to Mike
“Hello Mike”
“Xup Tiwa how are u"

“I want to talk to you.”
“I don’t have time to talk to you.”
“What is the meaning of all this.”
“Meaning of what.”
“So it is true.”
“What is true?”
“You don’t even care for me anymore, people are saying it but I choose to believe you.”
“You choose whatever you want to believe and also I didn’t have enough time as you can see I was heading to the library before you called my attention, now I have to read for exams I am a prefect and you know no one wants to fail so I have to work towards it.”
“I am sorry, I understand now.”

She left and Ayo was amused.
“Why don’t you want to tell her the truth now.”
“You don’t break news to a girl like that, especially bad news.”
“How do you do it ooo mister man you better tell the whole group that you love her and can’t stay on the bet again.”
“What do you mean. You can’t break bad news to a girl like her, can’t you see that she is madly in love with me at least put her in your shoes and know if you won’t faint receiving the news.” Mike left there disappointed in Ayo. Initially Mike was in love with Tiwa before but after all that transpired between he and Tiwa he lost hope of her being his girlfriend then after three weeks he was able to conquer the love he had for her. After he was able to do that, his friends decided to play tricks on Tiwa and also to know if Mike can actually make a girl fall for him, he accepted this not because he wants to but he wants to teach Tiwa a lesson not to pick on guys like him and also to prove his friends wrong. Mike called on Vivian to tell her somethings after he was true in the library.
“Vivian Wassup.”
“I just dey jare and you.”
“Cool as usual.”
“What is happening to you this days, you will be playing with your friends and your girlfriend will call your attention but instead you give her some excuses that you are busy with one thing or the other.”
“It is not like that ehn.”
“It is like what? Let me know what it is like.”
“The thing there is that I am no longer interested in this relationship I want a break.”
“What?”
“Yes and help me tell her that I want the both of us to break up.”
“You are kidding right.”
“I am serious.”
“Like seriously!”
“I am done here.” Mike left and Vivian felt irritated and angry. Immediately they were done in the prep class Vivian told Tiwa that she wants to talk to her.
“When we get to the hostel, remind me that there is something important that I want to tell you.”
When they got to the hostel, Tiwa hastily went to Vivian room sat there, ate there and finally they both fits it right to talk.
“What is it that you want to tell me?”
“I saw Mike today and we both talked.”
“What did you guys talk about, let me guess about me that he loves me and that you should beg me or you should tell me that he can’t stop loving me.” Vivian saw the anxiety in Tiwa’s eyes, she was true love in her eyes and felt it was not right to tell her by herself.
“You guessed right, he said he loves you and can’t stop loving you.”
“Is that all?”
“No, he said he wants to see you.”
“When, where and why?”
“Don’t you want to see him at least it has been long since you guys had this your love talk.”
“Yeah that’s correct.”
“Then why the questioning.”
“Sorry.”
“Fine, good night.”
“Good night.”
The next day, on a Monday morning, all hostel students woke up, took their bathe, dressed up for school, left for dining and finally ready for school. It is break time all student went out for break but Vivian went to Mike class to talk with him.
“Mike.”
“Yeah Vivian.”
“I want to have a word with you.”
“Okay, give me a sec.”
“Okay.”
“Okay now what do you want to talk about.”
“What you told me last evening.”
“Yes, what about it.”
“I want the both of you to see each other and talk about it.”
“So you did not tell her?”
“Yes I didn’t, I love my bestie.”
“Whatever.”
“I need a favor from you.”
“What favor?”
“I want you guys to talk about love for the next two hours when you meet before breaking the news to her.”
“I am not sure if you are asking me to do that.”
“See even if you don’t love her just for the sake of God and the sake of the origin of love do that.”
“What, you know how much I hate people begging me in the name of God.”
“Do it for me please.”
“After begging me in the name of the Lord you expect me to not do it you are funny ooo.”
“Thanks and one more thing.”
“What again ehn.”
“You guys should still be friends after your break of a thing.”
“Sure thing, if she would agree.”
“Sure, why not she would.”
“Okay when is this meeting of a thing coming up.”
“Closing time in your class.”
“Okay tell her I will be here waiting for her.”
“I told her already.”
“Then that’s fine by me since it is fine by her.”
“Okay, catch up later.”

Later in the day, Tiwa went to Mike’s class around 2:31 pm obviously after closing time.
“Hey love.”
“Hi baby.” Mike replied in a lovely tone that can be convincing that he is in love.
“I heard that you want to see me for something important.”
“Not really important all I want is to spend today with my angel.”
“Huh, huh that is lovely and nice of you.”
“I know.” They spent an hour talking about love. Tiwa got emotional and she let her emotions control her. Immediately she grabbed Mike and started kissing him, she stopped for a moment to mutter few words.
“I have missed this between us.”
“What.” She did not reply, she continued kissing him. Mike wanted to stop her but he didn’t he thought that since he was finally letting her go he should enjoy her for the very last time. Little did Tiwa know that Mike claimed love for her is fake and not real. After spending an hour dealing with fake love, Mike thinks it is the right time to tell her the truth.
“Tiwa I want to tell you something.”
“What is that sweetie.”
“Let me start by saying that you are beautiful, loving, caring and possess what a man wants in a woman.”
“Yes, I know that and you have told me countless times.”
“Don’t get me wrong you’ve done me no bad.”
“I don’t know why you are saying all this.”
“You will know what I am talking about now, do you remember Vivian telling you that we saw each other and we had a-tete a-tete. She didn’t tell you what it is all about because she felt that you may not be able to bear it.”
“You are beginning to scare me, what is it.”
“I want us to break up.”
“What tell me you are joking.”
“I mean it, I lost interest in you three weeks after you insulted me in your class I dated you only because I wanted to teach you a lesson and also it was based on bet. I and my friends had a bet that I should date you and after a month I should break up with you am sorry.” Tiwa is short of words, her mind is far away from her. Mike continued.
“And I enjoyed the moment I spent with you, the love, caring and also the kiss you are perfect.”
“Are you saying that I should let go of what has happened between us, what should I do without you am in love with you Mike I cannot spend a day without you, without you am nothing.”
“So you can say that now, the time I loved you with the whole of my heart to the extent of not been able to eat, and sleep it had no tiny hole to enter I think about you day and night, I expressed my feelings to you but instead what did you do, you insulted me did a lot of stuffs to me I think we talking about this is bringing a lot of pains here so am done talking here.”
“Mike don’t go, what have I done to be treated like this.”
“You have done nothing.”
“See fine if you don’t love me date me and I will be good and caring and show you love than I have ever done and I promise to make you love me.”
“Nothing in this world can make me love you again.”
“Mike please.” Tiwa pleaded in serious tears.
“Like have said am done here.” Mike left her alone Tiwa wanted to pull him back but he forced his hands out of hers’.
The rest of the term was not good for Tiwa. After a week of the end of their relationship it was said that Mike is dating Vivian before Tiwa’s break up with Mike. This made Tiwa more shocked and unhappy she could not fathom that her own bestie can betray her. The next term she made up her mind to move on and is determined to revenge Vivian. She later left the rest in God’s hands.
