Mike tried everything in his powers to forget about Tiwa, but it didn’t work out for him because he is deeply in love with her and wanted to make her his own. His efforts were not enough on forgetting about Tiwa. Then he gave up on trying to forget her and looked forward to tell her about the love he has for her. He practiced all day but have not gotten to the conclusion of how he will present it to her.
“Hey Tiwa.”
“Hey Mike.”
“How are you.”
“Am fine and you too.”
“Am not cool at all.”
“Why.”
“That is because I am always thinking about you.”
“Really.”
“Yes.”
“So.”
“So, will you be my girlfriend.”
“With utmost satisfaction and love.”
“Is that a yes.”
“Yes.”
Mike was happy that Tiwa gave him a chance. Then suddenly, Mike was tapped by Sunday and immediately, he woke up only to find out that he was only dreaming. And he got really got angry.
“What do you want, why did you wake me up in the middle of the night?” Sunday is marveled at the utterance coming out of Mike,
“You say middle of the night; you are funny ooo it is 8:00 am.” Still making jest of Mike.
“Whatever sha, leave me alone ooo before I do things that I am not expected to do.”
“This is unlike you, Mike I have been waking you up for the past two years and you never complain, what happened?”
“Am sorry, I didn’t mean to be harsh.”
“What is the problem.”
“See I am in love but my prob is I can’t express my feelings to the girl.” Upon hearing that, Sunday laughed to the extent of almost creating a scene.
“You are in love but can’t express it?”
“Yes, is that what is making you laugh?”
“No, you expect me not to laugh when it is so funny. Wake up guy you are a grown up now and you can’t face a girl?”
“Yes, even my junior for that matter.”
“You are funny ooo.” Sunday left him there and told the remaining of his mates and they started making jets of Mike. Mike got frustrated that he made up his mind to tell her and not verbally but with words. The next day a Monday morning, he saw Tiwa walking towards the dining hall and quickly approached her.
“How far Tiwa.”
“Wassup Mike.”
“I want to see you during break for something important. Will you be in your class.”
“Yes, I will be there.” Mike was excited.
“I will come down to your class as soon as the bell is jingled.”
“Expecting you ooo, and don’t be late.”
“Okay, bye.” Mike left, leaving Tiwa on the spot.
“Only God knows what this nonentity of a guy wants to say.” She soliloquized.
Finally, the time has come for Mike to confess to his beloveth, Tiwa. It is break time and everyone have gone to eat one or two things at the canteen but instead, Tiwa waited in her class expecting Mike.
“Hello dearie.”
“Hi Mike.”
“Let’s seat.” While sitting down.
“What do you want to tell me?”
“Maybe not that important.”
“I hope the words will not take a lot out of my time.”
“Yes, only if you listen.”
“Okay, am all hears.”
“Em………… the thing is that……ooo I don’t know how to put this down.”
“You don’t have to beat round the bush, go straight to the point.”
“Yes!!!, the thing is em em I am in love with you, em I want you to be my em girl, are you listening at all.”
“Yes, am listening continue.”
“Okay, the, the, I mean em.” Obviously he is scared of Tiwa.
“You don’t have to be scared, talk.”
Assured that Tiwa would give him yes as an answer probably because of the way she is behaving he went down on his knees and brought out a red rose.
“Will you be my girlfriend.”
People gathered round there already waiting for Tiwa’s response to be yes.
“Are you whining me, don’t tell me that it is because I devoted my precious time to you that is what is freaking you. I tried everything in my capacity not to go beyond my boundaries but it seems you love to be pushed in the mud.”
“I….”
“You what?”
“I felt that it was right to express my feelings.”
“You are shameless ooo, I cannot even imagine myself stoop too low to date someone like you, you this scallywag, fool, i***t, trash words like that are too small to define who you are. Big for nothing, a fool at your age is a fool forever. I don’t have much to say because I can’t waste my precious time with you anymore even the sight of you sickens me.”
After all the drama Tiwa displayed she wanted to leave, Mike called back her attention.
“I pray you realize that your ego can’t do you any good and for the fact that you have insulted me once and you are doing it again can’t change the fact that I still love you. With all this your behavior and attitude can’t you settle down a day and think of why you still have friends surrounding you, why they are still near you and move around you and not because of your money or whatever you think that you can offer them, you noticed that most of your friends are wealthy kids like you. Do you want the answers to why they still move around you, that is because they still love and care for you hoping that one day you will change. There are times you have to shook yourself with a needle, knows how it feels before you shook the person next to you. In short words, whatever you cannot allow people to do to you don’t try to do it to another person because you don’t know how painful it can be.”
Immediately Mike was done with his speech he left, but in the course of talking he was given an applause of words well said. From that day, friends started avoiding and ignoring Tiwa. Tiwa felt alone and sad she wanted her friends badly. Having the thought that Vivian and Achiever are her besties so they won’t behave like others but little did she know that they want the best for her later in the day, she went to Vivian and Achiever’s dormitory to play with them but instead they ignored her until she noticed that they don’t want to see her talk less of talking to her, because they did as if she never existed.
